“Mother! Release them!”
“Becca...?”
“These are my friends. They must have come looking for me.”
Kendra nodded to the guards and the two teams were released. Luna stood beside Becca, eying the two groups.
“Hey! That's the girl I told tu about! The one that took Becca!” Erin shouted.
As if on cue, both teams went into fighting mode. Luna arched her eyebrows. But before she could pull her swords free, Becca stood in front of her.
“Stop! There is no need to fight!”
Luna looked stunned while the others looked at Becca as if she had lost her mind.
“Are tu crazy?!” Erin exclaimed. “That girl kidnapped you!”
“No! Luna did as she was told.”
“Luna? You're on a first name basis with her?!”
“Yes. Luna is my friend.”
Becca turned to the girl, looking into her eyes.
“And I am proud to call her such.”
Luna looked down at Becca before bowing deeply.
“It is an honor, master. más than tu understand.”
“Luna. Did I request a bow?”
Luna straightened, a smirk on her face. Becca smiled at her before turning to the others.
“Treat Luna with respect. And tu will get hers.”
“Becca, you've lost it.”
“Erin that was not a request. As your leader, that was an order.”
All of them looked slightly shocked. Becca may have been team leader, but she had never ordered.
“Now. Let's be civil, shall we? I wouldn't want a fight to break out.”
Luna smirked again. Her young charge was being quite the negotiator and both teams looked like they would rather fight than listen to her.
“Master, may I suggest a garden location?”
“Why Luna, that is brilliant.”
“Thank tu master.”
“Luna, that was a comentario of what I see. Not flattery.”
“I know.”
Becca smiled again and turned to her. Luna looked into those brown eyes and almost sensed the pregunta her charge was about to ask.
“Will tu lead the way?”
“Of course.”
Becca turned to the others.
“Come and we can settle this out. Yeah?”
The others nodded a bit reluctantly and Luna had to fight her laughter. If they had come to take Becca back, they had another thing coming. With every minuto she spent, Becca was feeling bonded to Attalin. As well she should. Luna just wondered how far they would go in order to take Becca back to the city with them.
