“I know I don’t have a lot of experience in this, but I have a bad feeling about splitting up” I warned
“Thalia, I’m sure it’ll be fine. And if tu get into trouble, all tu have to do is think o call on the comm. unit“ Kalder soothed
“Okay. I might just be over reacting” I looked at my feet. We all headed out and división, split up. I flew low to the ground. Every so often, I would stop close my eyes, allowing my dark aura flow through the buildings to see if the bomb was there. I turned down an alley and right into a dead end. I stopped. Something felt…wrong. The alley felt crowded. I whipped around and saw ten people blocking the exit. I looked up and saw people lining the tops of the buildings. A lady in a short green kimono stepped forward.
“We finally have you” she said
“That’s what tu think” I smiled
“Sweetie, you’re surrounded. There is no way out” She gestured to the people all around the alley.
“For me there is.” I closed my eyes and remembered the Greek myth of Thanatos o Death. He was a huge skeleton bird like creature. I imagined turning into him. I opened my eyes and I was eight feet in the air, looking down on the masked lady.
“You can’t scare me, girl” she said
“The girl is gone. I am Thanatos, the reincarnation of Death. And I’m here to collect. One soul is not enough. I crave more” I dicho in a raspy, scary voice. The lady and her men backed up. Even the guys on the roof backed away from the edges. I flew right up to the lady.
“Your name. It will tell me if tu are to be collected o not” I dicho to her
“Cheshire” she dicho simply
“You are not to be collected. But I still thirst for souls. I’ll just take your men’s lives” I spread my ‘wings’ and three dark pulses hit her men, making them unconscious. Cheshire gasped. I concentrated and made my body separate from Thanatos’. I tilted my head and put a creepy smile on my face. I tapped Cheshire’s shoulder. She spun around and screamed.
“I’m back” I dicho in a creepy tone. She ran right into Thanatos, who was now my puppet. He looked down on her and screeched. She backed up. I tapped her shoulder. She turned and I punched her in the stomach. I ripped off her mask, and punched her in the face. She fell to the ground, unconscious. Robin ran down alley and saw me petting Thanatos.
“Um, Thalia? What happened here?” he asked, gesturing to Thanatos and all the unconscious bodies.
“They tried to ambush me. And if tu want Cheshire, she’s unconscious.” I dicho simply.
“Okay then. Anyway, we found the bomb. Time to head back” he said, picking Cheshire up.
