tu should’ve seen the team’s reaction when I brought out my katana and slashed at what appeared to be Batman. I noticed Robins eyes get wider. Then he fell to his knees.
“Mom?” he whispered
“Why didn’t tu save me? Your father and I were counting on tu and tu failed us” she said
“I’m sorry. I tried to save you, I really did” he started to tear up, even though I couldn’t see his eyes, I could hear it in his voice.
“Well, it wasn’t enough!” she said. I ran over to him and slapped him across the face before Melinoe could drive him any further into torment. He shook his head. I turned back to Melinoe.
“You have officially gone too far” I growled
“Aw, did I scare your little boyfriend?” Melinoe teased. I drew my celestial bronze daggers, the only metal that works on gods, goddess’ and monsters. I slashed and hacked at her, cornering her against a wall.
“I know goddess’ can’t be killed. I also know that they can be hurt and I’m pretty sure a dagger through the throat won’t feel too good” I growled. I raised my dagger to her throat. “Tell me, why are tu here?”
“I was hired to get rid of you” she managed with a dagger at her throat
“By who?” I demanded
“Who’s the only person powerful enough to get me to work for them for free?” Melinoe asked
“A half-blood?” I mused “I don’t know, Gaea?”
“Exactly.” She said
“I thought Gaea was asleep though” I said
“She is. But even in sleep, Gaea is still powerful” Melinoe mentioned
“Great, I’m being hunted por the most dangerous being on Earth: the Earth itself wants me dead!” I exclaimed
“See, if tu let me go, I could find a ghost that looks like you, and give her to Gaea instead of you…” she suggested. I looked at her skeptically.
“Swear upon the River Styx that tu will do that and I might let tu go” I said
“I swear upon the River Styx that I will find a ghost that looks like tu and give it to Gaea instead of you” She repeated
