This has taken me absolutely 5ever. School and shiz, sorry! But I only need to tweek the last part, so... Epilogue, coming soon (hopefully).
Tara was slow to wake up, for her mind was fuzzy and ached from crying. As she sat up rubbing her eyes, she looked about the room she lay in.
An canopy of naranja mesh cascaded around the cama from the frame. When she pushed the curtain aside, she was introduced to a room schemed in melocotón walls, victorian styled furniture, and dim lighting emitting from the navidad light strewn across the walls.
Tara threw off the covers and looked down at her clothes, the same ones she had been wearing the día before, only now más rumpled. A picture on the bedside mesa, tabla caught her eye as she stood. The frame was decorated with hearts; the foto depicted three children- two about her age, both with red hair, the third a younger brunette, all finely dressed. The smaller boy sat between his siblings on a bench inside a gondola. Something about the elder boy and his pale blue eyes was familiar to Tara, but before she could place him, she heard low murmured voices from the hall just outside the bedroom.
With light, silent footsteps Tara made her as to the door and listened intently. The murmers sharpened to words. Two people were speaking, seemingly arguing.
"You can't do this," one of them stated. Tara immediately recognized Becca's voice and some of the tension left her, as the possibility of the situation being dangerous became very small.
"It isn't forever, just until he heals." A British accented voice tried to reason. He sounded closer than before.
"And how long will that take? Days? Weeks?"
"However long he needed." He sounded resigned, tired even. His tone lowered. "You didn't hear him, Becca. The screams were... Hellish."
"The she should make the decision." When the door swung open, Becca and Nic found Tara with her arms crossed, brown eyes hard as steel.
"Where are we? How did I get here?" she interrigated immediately. "Where's Alek?"
"I found tu in his room," Nic responded plainly, unfaized por the girl's threatening tension. "And brought tu here. Here being the apartment of Double Helix's beta."
Ruse. Jasper, Tara remembered. She hadn't missed The Nic had neglected her final and most important question.
"Where's Alek?" she asked again. The fire-caster remained silent. His Adam's manzana, apple bobbed as he cast his gaze toward the hallway so that Tara could only see a perfil of his taught features.
"Well if you're not going to be any help," Becca started. Before she elaborated, Nic nodded slightly, turned, and walked back down the hall. Any other time the girls would have wondered at the arrogant fire-caster's absent reluctance.
"Where-"
"At the DH HQ," Becca answered.
"I want to see him."
The sorceress moved past Tara and sat at the foot of the bed. Tara followed suit and looked at he friend expectantly. "What's wrong?"
"Nic wants tu to wait a bit before tu see Alek," Becca admitted.
"And tu agree with him?" Tara made no effort to mask the hurt in her voice.
"No, no!" she shook her head at the horror of the proposition. But then sighed and shrugged with uncertainty. "You aren't the least bit angry with him?"
Tara fumbled for her words, taken aback. "I-I am.. I don't-"
Her rambling was cut off when the door suddenly reopened. Nic stepped in halfway, a phone in his hands, eyes widened.

Ivara's head snapped to the segundo occupied cot as the corazón rate monitor flat lined. Her vision flashed from not one, but two fading white auras of death. Her hands tremble. The blue rose pendant, which she had held so carefully in her palm, shattered on the ground.
Neither child even flinched at the crash. Bentley was at his girlfriend's side, his grey eyes glassy with incomprehension. Meanwhile, Emily's hands were a blur as she prepared heart-compressors.
Realizing the doctor could only handle a single patient at a time, Bentley took matters into his own hands por starting CPR.
Just then, four more people rushed in. Ruse, who must have alerted them, came in first. Immediately he was at Emily's side. Seeing were all the power was being concentrated, Nic rushed to his protégé's cot.
Last in was Tara, and another brunette Ivy recognized as the witch Becca. The latter tried to hold back her friend, but Tara broke free and raced to the boy who's corazón had stopped beating.
Orders were shouted, but Ivara heard none of them. What she did hear was Bentley counting under his breath to thirty, to a hiked whimper as Tara stopped beside Alek's bed, tears rolling down her cheeks. All she could see were those two whitening auras.
Jace was unsure of where he could help. He had interfered enough the last few days, every attempt to prove himself turned into disaster. He looked between the two chaotic scenes, then at Ivara, who stood so still the only hint she was alive was the tears forming in her eyes.
"Ivy?" Jace whispered. His attention was captured por her empty hand, still held out as if excepting something to be placed there. The boy looked to the ground and repeated, this time louder, "Ivy!"
He fell to his knees and reached for the pieces of the blur rose. It had broken into individual petals and know those petals were fading to a bleach white. Before Jace could grab one, they melted, like snow flakes.
He looked up to where Nic was pulling Bentley away from the still blonde girl, shouting that it was no use. Then his eyes averted to Alek's cot. The doctor was rubbing the compressors together and Becca had pulled Tara back away from him so she would not get hurt.
Jace looked back at the floor and whispered a simple, "I'm sorry." Just as Xian shouted, "Clear!"
In perfect unison, as if rehearsed a hundred times, two gasps of life emanated from either side of the room.

"Any last words?" he cocked his gun and smirked.
"You're an imb-"
He pulled the trigger before words could escape, and watched as the vampire disintegrated.
Quickly he left the church and headed into the woods, first a town of beasts and now a vampire, what más could he handle?
While walking, enjoying the night of no stars and a half moon, his red eyes caught a girl of smaller stature than his own. "A human? But I thought they all died in town."
D's eyes narrowed as he stalked the girl, she was running, but from what? Ignoring all his senses to pursue the her and take her fresh blood, he followed the human instead. She was quick and agile, her eyes showed no fear, yet deep inside he could read she was petrified. Suddenly, she stopped backing up against a gate, cornered as a dark shadow towered over her.
"I thought I killed him?" He hissed placing his hand on his Smith and Wesson.
