Inspired por Le Petit Prince (The Little Prince)

There once was a young boy and a beautiful rose. The boy was kind and humble, and could only say "Yes". The rose was proud and haughty, and always dicho "No."

When the boy had first laid eyes on the rose, he had been entranced por her beauty. He had felt a tug, a tingling in his heart, that he realized was love. And so the boy devoted his life to the rose.

When it rained in the boy's village, he built a shelter for the rose. When there was a drought, he climbed a mountain and fetched buckets of clear spring water for her. When it thundered, he covered her petals with his hands. She was so fragile.

Every day, without exception, the boy would visit the rose for one hour. He would give her water, talk to her, and just sit siguiente to her. But the rose never talked to the boy. She would stand there, her petals carefully arranged, her leaves extended with the poise of a queen. Every day, as the hora ended and the boy got up to leave, he asked her the same question: "Rose, do tu need anything else?" And the rose would respond with a curt "No", and turn away. This was all she ever dicho to the boy.

But the years passed, the boy grew into a man, and the rose's petals began to wilt. And one day, the man did not come to the rose.

The rose waited and waited. He was late, she thought angrily, he had never been late before. The rose decided to punish him: today she would not answer his question.

But when the man finally arrived, he did not water the rose. The rose carefully kept her face turned away from him as she heard his footsteps approaching, but they suddenly stopped.

"Rose?" asked the man. "I have something to ask you."

The rose did not respond.

The man sighed, and continued. "I amor you, rose, but tu have never shown that tu amor me. I have done everything for you, and tu have never done anything for me. So I have decided that I am going to leave. Do tu want me to leave?"

The rose still did not respond. But at his words, she felt a jolt in her stomach.

The man was silent. And then he said, "I am going now." His voice shook slightly, but he turned and began to walk away. Suddenly, however, he heard the sound of a single teardrop bursting against the forest floor. The man turned around.

The rose stared at the ground, angry at herself. How could she have let herself lose control? Then, the man spoke.

"Do tu really want me to leave?"

And the rose, suddenly realizing that somehow, that young boy had worked his way into her heart, answered.

"No."

Her corazón stopped for a moment as the man was silent. Maybe he had really left. And as this idea occurred to her she suddenly realized how big and empty the world was, how small she herself was...

And then the rose heard the man's footsteps. He walked back towards her, and sat down. He did not say anything, and she did not say anything.

But they did not need to say anything. Sitting there, standing there, they did not need words. They were just alive, just reveling in the pulse of the world.

Just a boy and a rose.

The Haunted Playground
Why couldn’t I come here? Mom wouldn’t explain why. I came here everyday! It seemed like Mom was hiding something from me. I was so mad, that as I walked away, her words seemed to blur and fade out as if they were never dicho in the first place. I ignored her, that’s why I was here in the playground.
I loved this playground. Although it seems rusty and old, it was a well working playground. A large brick fence stood in the right, blocking what was any further. It was like a scarecrow telling tu to stay back. I’ve always...

An idea popped into my head the other día and its been playing like a little movie in my head ever since. I really need to know if its any good, o if the idea has already been used. Also I need consejos for the characters and their names. I also appreciate constructive criticism and grammar and spelling. The names are temporary. I've never written a book that is completely in the present tense so please help me catch any tense mistakes! Um, oh yeah. It doesn't have a título yet so if tu have any suggestions just let me know!

(: Thanks!

no mercy, you're trying to put me down
i can see clearly as you're taking a oscilación at me

what are tu doing? what do tu think this is doing to me?
you're taking all my faith
what are tu leaving me now?!
i will make tu suffer just like tu made me suffer

all my hate can not be bound
i will not be bound por your darkest demons
so try to take my life and put me to the ground
i will follow tu and torture tu and i'll watch tu screaming
look at the bloody faces smiling at you, taking tu down and making tu drown
i wanna kill tu the same way tu killed me
leaving me thoughtless
tu can try to tell me that i'm worthless
but tu can not break me down
gonna take tu down because nothing in this world is going to save me

12: Destination: Unknown

Once upon a time, in Rochester, New York, there lived a simple, silly, disillusioned girl named Rosalie Lillian Hale. For thirteen years, she believed that nothing would ever touch her-that she was invincible to all feeling and thought.
Until one día in mid-April while she was stepping on stones on the Genesee River and she lost her balance. Despite knowing how to swim, the sudden fall caused her to panic and eventually drown. Fortunately, a dark haired, green-eyed ángel paloma in and pulled her out, then resuscitated her back to life. When she finally came to, she asked...

The día of love,
Is here again,
This is tough,
From end to end,
A joyus occasion,
Is our salvation,
Without you,
I would be empty,
No one por my side,
No one to embrace me when I'm tired,
Stuck within a baracading window,
Wishing oh so much,
That tu would show,
Just another day,
Where I would have to sit here and say,
Alone again,
Always alone,
Behind these eyes are tears of love,
tu are my one true,
Thank tu honey,
For being with me,
I amor tu so,
Please,
Never ever leave me

Just a short one-shot I thought of on the spot...Mother's día is coming so I thought, why not? It's not that good, just so tu know...

I hate her. I really really hate her. Sure she's the woman who gave me my life. Sure she's the woman who raised me all the sixteen years I've been alive since my father left us shortly after my birth. But I cannot bring myself to amor her. What has she ever done that actually made me smile? She has always been a cruel and selfish woman who would do anything to get what she wanted. She would gladly hurt others for her own benefit, even me, her own flesh and blood....

We've all been there.

We've all seen it (at least once).

Perhaps even committed the "easy" crime.

You know what I'm talking about.

"His cheeks were red with embarrassment."

"Anna checked the balance sheets again, coming to a conclusion the the financials were a deep crimson."

"I stared into his blue eyes as deep as the ocean."

Colors, like anything else, are powerful descriptive pieces. When used as a comparison o a contrast, the reader is painted a picture of the person/object's look and the setting as a whole. It should make the scene come together in a seamless flow.

For example, the "red with...
