That same día - Eric's perspective
Oh Jeez...Why did she have to point me out to her friends? I wasn't interesting. They know that I had been watching her for months.
To stop meeting her gaze and being embarrassed I hid myself in a book hoping that I would stop being embarrassed.
"Hey Eric tu must be really into that book," My friend Tom dicho to me as he sat down across from me.
Maybe not. I put the book down a bit "Oh yeah it's great. hola do tu have girls staring at you?" I asked him
His face lit up and he smirked "Oh yeah it's great. I get asked out all the time," he said
I frowned "Nobody ever did right?" I asked
He frowned "No. So what girl is staring at you. Is she cute?" he asked
I nodded over to Athena "Her. She just noticed me today. Do tu think she's cute?" I asked
Tom got a weird look on his face "Dude that's my sister Athena. Do tu like her? I can hook tu up with her," he dicho grinning and starting to stand up
I pulled him back down "No no. Don't do that. I kind of don't but I think she likes me," I said
He glared "Why don't tu like her?" he asked
I sighed "It's complicated. tu wouldn't understand," I dicho slumping down
Tom nodded "Ah," he dicho He knew when I dicho that he should just back off
The long low campana rang and everybody filed out of the cafeteria. Tom and I were last. Tom didn't really care about school. He figured that he would go to community college and get a job as a waiter at famous restuarants.
"Hey can I come over to your house after school?" I asked
He smirked "Why so tu can spy on Athena?" he asked
I shoved him "No! I have a science project and I figured tu would help me out," I lied
He nodded "Oh okay. Just get in the car with Athena and I. Our grandma takes us home,"
As we were walking out of the cafeteria a boy started walking siguiente to Tom "Hey Tom I just bet your sister 200 hundred bucks that I would marry her," he gloated
Tom winced "Jason first of all go away segundo of all tu will never ever marry my sister," he said
Jason smiled "You want to bet on that? tu owe me 100 hundred bucks if I marry her," he said
Tom held out his hand "Deal weirdo," he said. They shook hands
Jason turned to me "What about you? tu want to partake in this bet?" he asked
I smirked. Ah this boy. Athena in the future talked a lot about him. I knew who he was "Sure. I think tu are going to marry her as well. I bet tu all 1000 dollars that tu and Athena will have a son," I said
Jason widened his eyes "Wow! I like tu kid! tu are cool! Wait are tu being sarcastic?" he asked
Before I got the chance to answer him the late campana rang and we all sprinted towards our classes.
As I entered the classroom everybody looked at me. Including my strict teacher. "Well glad tu could registrarse us Mr. Maloney. I suppose tu can't tell us what a hot spot is?" he said
The whole class hadn't learned that yet but I have. I told him and he looked surprised. I sat down and he left me alone the whole period. Good thing thing too. I needed time to think.

What we have we won’t give
Up to any without a fight
Our ancestors gave us this birth right
We just want to live in peace
But still the battles will not cease
Until we’re driven from our home
Then we would be left to roam
And settle in some other place
o wiped out with no trace
Our names they wouldn’t know
So we prepare to meet our foe
The tribal headdress worn with pride
And paint upon our skin to hide
Who they face upon the field
Armed with arrows, spear & shield
Seen as men within a crowd
Surging forth we holler aloud
No fear from us will be shown
As they meet the unknown
Warriors not afraid to die
Fighting for our cause we try
To save our land & family
So our tribe can be free
To live as we choose to do
So let battle now ensue
