"I knew as soon as I hit that light, I was waving>> It's as much a part of my whole being as breathing. I always knew this was it. I didn't know it was going to be like this, tu know. But I always knew that I wanted to act.
I grew up in a time when it would never have occurred to anyone to tell me there was anything I couldnt do. tu know, I grew up in a time when the country was very pro the people who lived in it. You know, be an actor because tu amor to act. Don't be an actor because tu think you're going to get famous, because that's luck. But if it's what tu want to do with your whole corazón and your whole soul, come on.

A debate that broke out on “The View” last week was so heated, that it caused a whole lot of commotion and backlash following its airing. The ladies of “The View” had been discussing the “N” word, which led to a debate over whether the word could be used in any context.

Whoopi Goldberg tried to explain to Elizabeth Hasselbeck, why it was okay for black people to use the word, but not white people. Hasselbeck, making the point that we should be moving towards a world in which we are all the same, made the point that she didn’t think it was okay for anybody to use the word.
