Walt disney enlaces - The LIVE Action Lion King To Have A New Song With beyonce 

“But we’re talking kings and successions. Even you can’t be caught unawares” – “Be Prepared,”

In an interview with The Sun, Elton John revealed Disney wants a new end credits song for the film.

There’s going to be four of our songs in the film, from the original: Can You Feel The Love Tonight?, Hakuna Matata, I Just Can’t Wait To Be King, and Circle of Life. And then there will be an end, closing song, and we’ve been speaking to Beyonce’s people and hopefully Tim and I and her can cook up something. That’s going out in 2019 as well. And it will be great to work with her. So we will see.

If you notice, the songs listed by Elton do not include cult fan favorite, “Be Prepared” (which is one of my favorite songs/moments in the original movie). The song was originally brought to you by Scar (Jeremy Irons) having a conversation with his hyena henchmen about what needs to be done in order to fulfill his plan to take over the throne from his brother, Mufasa. While this news may bum out some fans, the news of a brand new song with Queen Bey herself may help ease the pain a little bit.

The LIVE Action Lion King film is still a ways off, July 2019. However, Elton John was able to get a sneak peak of the opening to the film and is incredibly impressed.

I’ve seen a little bit of the opening of it, which is amazing. Jon Favreau is directing it, he did an amazing job on The Jungle Book. The film is going to be amazing.
