What's your opinion?

I read a vampire novel called "Sweetblood", the main character, who is a gothic/diabetic teen, writes in an English(or something like that) paper that 18th Century diabetics were the original vampiros since they didn't have insulin back in those times.

Do agree o disagree? What's your opinion?
