Hi :- ) how come there are 13 libros but only 26 episodes?

Hello there :) tu see, it kinda bugs me that there are 13 book, and only 26 episodes. If we take an example as shugo chara, there are 12 libros and 102 (101?) episodes. Isn't this a little wierd?
