Nothing against Zac Effron, but he just doesn't do it for me. I wouldn't have felt drawn in by him. He wouldn't have portrayed the right image in my head as Edward. They did right by casting Rob.

i have a serious problem with zac efron. i kinda hate him. he is orange and cannot act or sing and i think he is one of the worst disney stars ever, along with vanessa hudgens. but not all disney stars are terrible.
rob is perfect as edward and taylor is perfect as jacob

Even though I like Zac Efron, I don't think I would have wanted him to play Edward Cullen. He is too much of a goodie-goodie Troy Bolton, for me.
But if, for some bizzare reason, they decided to cast him, I guess I would have accepted that, over time.
