“Bella no-one’s going to get hurts” Alice dicho taking my hand and leading me upstairs.

“BUT SHE MIGHT...”I dicho before her small hand covered my mouth.

“But nothing Bella, everyone will be ok, no one will get hurt. And as for you’re.....friend and his pack I’m pretty sure they can look after their selves.”

Jacob. I suddenly recalled his existence.

“Can I borrow your phone?” I asked her. She searched my facial expression and whatever it was she found made her give in.

“Ok then I guess that’s alright.” She handed me the phone before disappearing out the door.

I had rung Jake so many times I knew his number off my corazón so I punched it in and prayed he would pick up.

“Hello?” His husky voice asked.

“Hi Jake, its Bella.”

“BELLA! WHERE ARE YOU? I’VE JUST BEEN OVER TO
YOURS AND YOUR NOT THERE. ALL I CAN SMELL IS THE AWFUL BLOODSUCKERS.” I flinched at the tone he used, and his choice of word.

“See about that. Alice took me back with her to the Cullen’s as Carlisle has promise they’ll protect me, until Victoria is........well dead.”

“SO THEY DONT THINK WE CAN PROTECT tu JUST AS WELL AS THEY CAN?”

“Jake, calm down its only for my benefit...to be honest I doubt if Carlisle thought about that. There only trying to keep me safe.”

“Right...calm down” I heard him take a deep breath. “So there looking after you, and is Charlie aware of this?”

“Mmm Hmm.” I hummed “And tu know when I’m lying because I suck at lying.”

I heard him chuckle from down the other end of the line. “Yeah tu do. But just because there babysitting tu doesn’t mean I won’t be seeing tu anymore.” He added.

“So I’ll see tu later Bella.” And then he hung up.



“Is he actually......dead?” I asked as I snuggled down under the covers of Alice and Jaspers bed.

Alice froze into a vision but I was so tired I couldn’t stay awake long enough to find out what it was she saw.
