(human character, close friend of Bella's when she lived in Phoenix) POV
It was almost as if it was fate. Not only was I on a plane to visit my best friend that had lived in Arizona with me, but I was sitting siguiente to a drop dead gorgeous male with the prettiest eyes.
I continued to peek at the man through my red-framed rectangle glasses, who was possibly 17 through 18, with the strongest cheek bone structure and golden eyes. I continued to steal glances from him, even though he seemed preoccupied por looking through the cheap magazine these airplanes provided. He pretended to be interested, I could tell por the way he skimmed through the magazine, as if he had done this over a million times before in the past; much like myself.
Flying first class had always been agonizing; I would watch the coach passengers glare at me as they passed by, but not this handsome beast. Just before he planted his firm culo siguiente to mine, he flashed a grin, mostrando pearl-white teeth. Immediately, I looked away, flushed. I could feel the rosado, rosa rising on my pale cheeks, and this only made him smile more.
I put up with this for the siguiente three hours; whenever I had a thought towards him, he would grin as if he knew what I was thinking.
I couldn't help notice that his head was fairly large, with a pile of golden hair that was piled on parte superior, arriba on his gorgeous scalp. His skin was so pale, it almost looked like my granite counter tops at home. The thought made me smile, as well did he.
Just as our plane finally hit the ground, we bounced a few times before finally coming to a complete stop. That was always my least favorito! part of the trip: the take off and the landing. I couldn't stand the ways my ears popped, of the motion of the plane at that one point in time.
Before I had a chance to even unbuckle myself, the beautiful man siguiente to me was already collecting his carry-on bags from the upper cabinets.
I nodded at him, smiling before I slid out of my asiento to collect my bags. Instead, he handed my Louis Vuitton bag. After nodding my thanks, I slid the bag onto my shoulder. I followed the other passengers out of the plane until I was standing in the waiting room. Sharp, crisp air filled my nostrils, making me uncomfortable. I had seen the storm-clouds when coming in, but it was just an overcast. It was a completely new place. How the hell did Bella put up with the rain?
Bella had told me she would meet me at my terminal, so I swept the crowd for pale brunette. Once my eyes had fallen upon Bella, I grew a large smile as I rushed over to her. She was standing siguiente to a small, petite female with black spiky hair. She had the same exact eyes and skin as the beautiful man that had sat siguiente to me. Were they related in any way?
Me and Bella crashed into a bone crushing hug, and it wasn't until then I noticed how cold
she was. When I wrapped my arms around her, it felt as if I was pressing rock against my chest, holding it securely so no one would take it from me. She was the first one to pull away from out hug, smiling her sharp-pearly teeth. The same as the males, the same as the spiky girl. I noticed something completely different about Bella: She was absolutely gorgeous. Sure, she was always pretty in the past, but it was as if Washington had changed
her somehow. Was that even possible?
"Oh my God, Wendy. tu look so different -- and so warm! -- how was your trip? I'm waiting for one más person... tu probably spotted him on the plane. He's hard to miss." Bella spoke her words in a rush, eying the el espacio behind me.
look so different! What happened? I've heard you're married and is a parent
now, is that true? Who are tu looking for?" Just then, I looked behind my shoulder to seem the same male smiling at me -- past
me -- at Bella. He was approaching us at a quick pace. It was almost as if he was running but in a walking pace.
Immediately, I frowned. I had to admit, I felt a wave of jealously strike me hard. I
was always the one who had all of the hot guys all over me, and Bella was always my sidekick
. For her to score someone like this really pissed me off. Just as the male approached, I could tell he was watching me through his peripheral vision as he pulled Bella into an extremely passionate hug. It was as if their bodies had just clicked, fitting perfectly into each other like a puzzle piece.
I was really fucking jealous.
My gaze swept from Bella to this unknown-stranger, then to the spiky haired girl who was grinning at me with her -- surprisingly
-- pearly, sharp teeth. I gave her a small smile, always shy around new, beautiful people.
"Well, Bella, aren't tu going to introduce me to your... slightly-gorgeous friends?" I asked nervously, playing with the hem on my sundress. I hadn't expected such drastic weather, so I wore a simple red and brown cachemir, paisley vestido de verano, sundress with my $4,000 cowboy boots. Absentmindedly, I pushed my glasses higher onto the bridge of my nose.
"Oh, yeah." Bella looked at the spiky-haired girl. "This is Alice," she said. Alice flashed a grin towards me, then held out her pale hand towards mine.
I took her hand.
I shook it.
"Nice to meet you," Alice dicho in a pixie like voice. I couldn't help myself but smile at the way she spoke.
"And this-" Bella motioned towards her gorgeous man, "-is Edward." She smiled at him, he gave me a crooked smile before holding at his hand.
I took his hand.
I shook it.
"Nice to meet you, as well Wendy." Edward dicho in a seductive voice.
I hadn't introduced myself yet.
"Oh, yeah, um. I'm Wendy?" I tried, talking in a small voice I was suddenly intimidated por these gorgeous creatures, including my old best friend.
"Should we get crackin'?" Bella asked, looking from creature to creature, to... me
