“Mary! Mary!” I screamed at the parte superior, arriba of my lunges. What had she become, this wasn’t like her, nothing like her. She continued to reach for my neck, I screamed. Suddenly Mary’s head went up, she was listening to something. She got off of me one segundo and was out of the window the next. Mom came in, clearly hearing my screams, and looked down at me.
“What’s going on here?” She asked as I stood up, flattened my dress, and wiped away the tears that fell from my eyes.
“Nothing, just shocked.” I couldn’t tell her what had just happened, she would think I had gone crazy. She looked one más time at me, shock her head, and left out of the door. I walked slowly to my bed, this was not normal. Mary hadn’t looked like that, she wasn’t normal. Tears still streamed from my eyes, I couldn’t control them anymore. I rolled over, and cried myself to sleep, not for the first time.
THREE MONTHS LATER
She always came at night, never in the day. Mom still couldn’t get over the fact that Mary had “run away”.
She had haunted me every night of every month, shrieking into my window. Whispering about her late nights with James, whoever that was, and telling me how much Mom hated me. I always got mad, slamming the walls over and over until my hands bled. Today she was late, she still wouldn’t tell me what she was, I didn’t care.
There was a tap at my window, was Mary finally here. I didn’t bother to look out the window, I didn’t want Mary here.
“Victoria?” This voice wasn’t from Mary, it was someone else. I got of the bed, smoothed my dress, and looked out the window. I looked and looked, there was no one.
“Victoria?” I turned around, and was shocked. There siguiente to my cama was a boy. His hair was cropped short and was black in some spots, the rest was red. It was Sir Thomas. I sucked in a huge breathe then screamed, and screamed, and screamed, because he wasn’t normal. He looked just like Mary.
