It happens. There’s no avoiding it. When tu can see the darkness coming, there’s nothing tu can do rather than lie there helplessly, waiting. Waiting for the torment to end. Then finally, when tu know it’s all over, there’s that one rayo, ray of hope willing to take your life back. So tu reach out for it, not wanting to loose it. Lock it in a box and throw away the key.
“Charlie how long hace was it when tu found her?”
That calm voice echoed around the large el espacio in my empty head. The light was fading, seeping out the sides of the box that I locked it in. It was escaping fast and there was no way of stopping it. Don’t let me die. Don’t let me die. Don’t let me die. I repeated over and over again to my self. My arms and legs felt useless but at least I knew they were still there unlike my last bit of hope – the light - that had disappeared.
“I’m sorry” that same voice whispered. Then all that pain came back, but it wasn’t just a pain anymore. I was burning. Some one was burning me. The fuego spread all over my body, down my legs and through my arms. My corazón began beating fast. So fast it felt like it was about to rip through my skin, but then it stopped? Everything stopped. Was I dead? No, this is far too easy to be death.
