"Bella, I"... I didn't know what to say. In that moment, my no longer beating corazón was torn in two. It was like she tore it from my chest, stuck it in her mouth, chewed it up and spit it out on my feet. I couldn't believe she chose that dog over me. But it was her decision. I looked down, I knew this was coming, I could see it in her eyes.
"Bella, if that's what tu want, I'll leave now."
"Of course it's what I want, tu left, I tried to deal with it, but now I realize that Jake is the one that I want."
"Yeah bloodsucker, I was always better for her."
I turned and started walking, but I just had to go. I ran the rest of the way back to my house and announced that I was leaving. I couldn't erase the picture of her in my mind. I couldn't make the same mistake. I mean, a werewolf should be able to protect her. I just needed to know that she was safe. I ran as fast as I could go until I was on the other side of the country. I needed to stay as far away from her as long as possible.
I wandered the streets for hours, just to keep my mind away from her. But of course that didn't work. I kept wandering past alleyways and bars on my buscar for forgetfulness. It was then that I heard a shriek of terror.
"No, stop it, leave me alone,"she screamed, her screams came out muffled.
I turned toward the sound, which was down an alleyway. I grimaced at the memories it brought me, back when I was a monster, hunting the streets.
I slowly walked down the alley, looking for the danger. I felt a puñetazo, ponche in the gut, like I was being hit over and over again with a battering ram. My throat burned for the blood of the human that was bleeding on the ground in front of me. Bella, Bella was all I could think of . I looked this girl over. It was not Bella, but she smelled just like her. So mouthwatering.
I craned my head to the side, examining the wounds inflicted on this innocent bystander. She had a mild cut above her right eyebrow and her left arm was broken. I pictured Bella in this position and it came to easily. I quickly refocused on the girl. I studied her. She was unconcious. I noted as I lifted her off the ground and carried her to the nearest hospital. As I ran, I thought about her scent. I couldn't just abondon her. I would wait until she woke up and ask her what happened, then I would contact her family.
So I waited for her to awake. She was so similar to Bella, with her dark brown hair and pale skin. The only difference was the eye color. She had bright blue eyes. And her nose was a little bit bigger, but she was beautiful. I couldn't stop comparing her to Bella, what was wrong with me?
I left the room to call Carlisle. I dialed the number and listened to it ring.
"Hey Carlisle, I just wanted to let tu know I'm in New York and I'm helping a girl. She looks a lot like Bella and she's now in the hospital. She also smells exactly like Bella. I need your assistance. Could tu come to talk with me? I'm at the General Hospital. Room 138. Talk to tu later."
