Pheonix and Forks are real places in America...So no it has nothing to do with Harry Potter. Plus in Harry Potter the pheonix's name is Fawkes not Forks...

stephenie meyer is from pheonix and it a hot place so it fits the story

FORKS ( NOT FAWKS) is a real, rainy, green place in america which also fits what the story needs
