I think they were ridiculously overrated.

I love Sooric, Spuffy and Jate. I used to dislike DE but because of some DE fans constant craziness over this couple( not you but I have seen some ), I totally despise them now.

chairlover19, I think it is a bad reason to dislike DE because of SOME crazy fans. Not all DE fans are crazy and if you took the time and effort to be a little open for them without thinking aobut their fans, you might be able to actually see why a lot of people love them. They're amazing and have fantastic potential. <3

And a ship is not only defined by its fans. The reason DE have some crazy fans is that they so MANY MANY fans, some of them are BOUND to be crazy. Not really DE's fault ;)

Exactly my point; this is what I said in the fangirling pick. To go off the couples because of the fans must mean you didn't like them much in the first place. Otherwise you wouldn't let the fans put you off.

Some of the couples I ship I've not really liked the fans, but this hasn't stopped me from shipping the couple because if it was that easy then everyone would ship the same couples, but it isn't.

I have said already that I never liked DE and I used to ignore their picks but because of some crazy fans who think that we are jealous that we don't like this "epic" couple that irritates the hell out of me and now I hate them.
DE is not a good couple that all the ppl have to ship them.I hate them and they are nowhere close to Spuffy, Sooric or Jate.

why do I have to read the books to judge a tv couple?Nair is great in the books but awful in the show.Same goes for DE.They are awful in the show, I'm in the tv couple spot right so I will talk what I will see and in TV, DE is not good.IMO

No it doesn't bother me if ppl hate Chair because I love them and that's what matters and as a chair fan I still say that Chair was overrated but not now, after S3, ppl have criticized chair in every picks.So they used to be overrated but not now.

^^I think what she meant is that a lot of people that are calling DE "epic" is because they've read the books and people assume that although the show is very different to the books, that in the end, the same path will be explored. JP/KW have said they will be following closely to the books from now on, therefore a lot of what happened in the books between DE that people consider "epic" will probably happen in the show.

I for one, view DE epic in the books but I don't view ANY couple in the show epic as of right now, not even DE yet as much as I love them.

I like DE in the books but I hate them in the show.Awful.And about DE eye-sex in show just Lol...Because of Nina's acting, I have stopped watching the show. Nina who plays elena is such a stiff bad actress DE has become a worse couple.(No offense to Nina fans) But I hate Bangel more than DE so I pick this one.

^Okay I also think that Nina is a bad actress but that doesn't mean that DE is bad also.I love DE.

I know DE are epic in the books and they said they will follow the books closly but that was said with Gossip Girl and True Blood when they first came out, they say it just to draw in the books fans and to give them peace of mind, already its nothing like the books, i mean they completly changed four of the characters from the get go!

In TV land this couple is so bad, and i think it is because of Ninas acting! I really waqnt Damon to find a really strong tough woman, thats what he needs!

I kinda like all the couples above (I don't watch all the shows) but I had to choose...
I am a huge Damon/Elena fun, mainly because of Damon (I don't like Elena much) but they aren't together yet so they aren't couple (they even haven't kissed yet) so you can't be sure that you don't like them if you don't see them (as a couple)...How knows, maybe even Delena's fans won't like them in the end (I don't believe that but anyways ^^)...
I also believe that fans shouldn't overreact.
