I've always hated Skate the same amount, whether they were a threat to Jate or not.

We always have our own many reasons for hating our rival ships. But does them being a threat to our ship make us hate them MORE? ...I think so, absolutely!

YUP that's true.Although I always ship some couple like Mulder/Scally, Polivia and they don't have that much love or hate or drama like some couples or not another angel but I think if it was there, I will hate the possibility of breaking up my couples.

Yeah it is very true. Most people when they like a couple will for some reason hate the rival couple the most.

I would think that's how it would work... but Bamon, Dair and Puckleberry get a lot of hate when Bamon hardly even interact, and the writers for GG and Glee have already made it obvious that Chair and Finchel are endgame.

I think it's a broad generalization, but in most cases it rings true. Personally, it is not really the case with ships I dislike, but I think jealousy causes a lot of shipping hate.

Back when NB was the 'rival' to CB, I hated them more than DB. Now that DB is the threat to CB, I hate them more. I hate both couples though. I guess it just depends on which couple is getting more screentime at the time.

Well for example, I'm certainly not liking the ship of Stone/Sanchez on Detroit 187 more seeing them kiss when I want her to be with Fitch.

I dont know, I hate Pucklberry but I dont think they are a thread. same goes for St.Berry. Klaine, yeah, here it may apply but I hated them before I realized where they are going with them. it may be a part of it but if I hate a couple its more because I think its wrong or boring or something

It’s true. I don’t hate Brucas as much anymore. LP are endgame and well, BL can go and die as far as I’m concerned.

Not necessarily but it can be true.
1. I mean 'Skate' was a threat to Jate at some point but I didn't hate them.
2. With Brucas I don't hate them because they were a threat to Leyton but because their relationship was dysfunctional and hated all Brooke insecurities when together. I would hate them even if LP were not in the picture.
3. But with Taylor/Ryan I might say I hate them with passion because she took the place of Marissa, and it wasn't how it was meant to be. And I'm a Ryan/Marissa shipper
