Joey/Rachel > Ross/Rachel -- Given that Ross and Rachel were THE TV couple of the 90s and are essentially iconic now, I'm assuming it's a very, VERY unpopular opinion that I always preferred Rachel and Joey. I kind of thought Ross was a bit of a jerk sometimes and found myself preferring the way Joey treated Rachel and their interaction altogether.

Dan/Blair > Chuck/Blair -- I always thought that Dan and Blair (prior to the mess and bad writing that was season 6), were much healthier, balanced and more entertaining than Chuck and Blair. For me, Chuck and Blair's "games" got old in s3 when they had Chuck sell Blair for property and by the time that scene happened in s4 where he forced himself on her and punched the window right next to her face; I couldn't see myself ever shipping them.

Tyler/Caroline > Klaus/Caroline -- I have never really understood the hype around Klaroline tbh (nothing against the shippers though!). I found it kind of weird how out of the blue, this horrible villain was randomly nice to Caroline after he had tried to get Tyler to kill her, and then he had some strange stalker crush on her for another season and a half and then they had sex in the forest and that's it? I DO think Tyler and Caroline were poorly written in season 3 especially, but I feel like their build up in s2 was much better than the writing for Klaus/Caroline. As well as that, Klaus and Caroline was one of those relationships where it only benefited one party (teaching Klaus how to ~love).

Stelena vs Delena -- I genuinely never cared for either. I never really liked Stelena because my favourite ships are slow burn ships and they were a couple that were calling themselves epic after one conversation and were too cheesy for my liking. Delena on the other hand, WERE a slowburn couple but were, in my opinion, unhealthy and arguably abusive (this is also my problem with Klaus/Caroline and Chuck/Blair - tbh I think the CW in particular need to work on promoting healthy couples).

Jesse/Rachel > Rachel/Finn -- I didn't really like Finn's character nor his general treatment of Rachel. Other than that one scene in season 1, Jesse kind of consistently treated Rachel a bit better and I found their scenes from entertaining than Finn/Rachel.

Lincoln and Octavia > Linctavia - This one is really hard to describe and it's kind of rare for me that this happens. But I genuinely love both characters and I think had their relationship been written differently I would like them together but I just don't? I find it odd that he kidnapped her, held her hostage and chained her up for no real reason, PLUS the fact that she is 16 and he is in his mid-20s at least, PLUS the fact that she hit him across the face when he was struggling with addiction stuff etc etc. Like I enjoy their chemistry, and I do genuinely love their characters, and it's not like I anti-ship them or anything - I'm just not invested in them as a couple because I find the beginnings of their relationship to be a bit strange.

Marissa/Alex > Marissa/Ryan -- Marissa and Alex were one of my favourite TV couples growing up and Ryan and Marissa were one of my least favourites so... it's pretty self explanatory.

Lindsey/Ryan > Marissa/Ryan -- Same as before. I loved Lindsey/Ryan because when they were together I actually liked Ryan's character a lot more than usual and when he was with Marissa I usually disliked him more than usual.

Also agree with caring for neither Stelena nor Delena and preferring Jesse/Rachel.

Also preferring Tyler/Caroline to Klaus/Caroline and Jesse/Rachel to Finn/Rachel. I also never cared for Stelena or Delena. I also understand what you mean with Lincoln and Octavia, although I do still somewhat ship them lol.

I don't watch The OC or Friends so I can't comment on the other opinions.

The rest I either don't agree with you or have never seen the show, but I will say that I find Octavia/Lincoln really fucking creepy and the fact that they're romanticizing a relationship that started with a kidnapping is no bueno. Despite all that, I still like them better than the alternative, which is Octavia and "Nice Guy" Jasper. Tbh I just want Octavia to date a new character. She deserves a lot better than any of the males on the show can give her (except for like, Monty. But I doubt the show would ever go there).

Yes exactly! That's my issue. Whether the show realises it or not, they are essentially romanticizing stockholm syndrome. But as I said either, I honestly think the CW in particular has a real problem with the couples they romanticize and in turn, the message they send to young girls. I do love Lincoln, I would just prefer Octavia to get a new love interest that is NOT Jasper.

I'm a pretty big Stelena shipper so I definitely cared about the TVD love triangle more than I'd like to admit and I never watched The OC.

But I agree with all of the rest! Especially Dan and Blair being the better option to Chuck and Blair. Leighton Meester said herself that Chuck and Blair had abusive elements so I'm still not sure why so many people campaign in favor of that couple.

Though I prefer him most with Taylor. Also kinda agree with the Marissa/Alex one.

I don't prefer it this way anymore, but when I first watched the show, I HATED Finn and LOVED Jesse, so I preferred St. Berry to Finchel. As the seasons went on, I fell in love with Finchel and grew to tolerate Finn. I'm glad Rachel was able to go back to Jesse and end up with him at the series finale.

I'm not crazy about them but i prefer them over Finchel :D
Same goes for Forwood/Klaroline even though my fave is Steroline!

I love Dair but for me Chair wins always.
