The writing is pretty bad. It ruins a character or a group of character, It can get annoying and have no purpose, It has a bad running gag, everyone is out of character, Too much focus on one character, a character gets away for their bad behavior, and etc.

Some of the characterization, especially in some parts of TDA and TDWT. There were many characters that were likeable and fun in TDI but then in TDA and TDWT they were annoying, fame-hungry jerks. They didn't have that likeability and charm that they had in TDI and like PeacefulCritic said, there was too much focus on one character; four of them would get most of the screentime while the others are overshadowed by those four characters. I also had an issue with the villain downfalls in TDWT and TDROTI. The one in TDI was very exciting and the one in TDA was satisfying, but the downfalls in the two seasons after were just too much. Yes, I get that the villain in TDWT was a manipulative jerk, but being severely burnt was a bit extreme. And the villain in TDROTI was a jerk as well and he got one of my favorite characters in that season eliminated but being attacked to the point of near brain damage is too harsh and doesn't fit the bad things he did. The two villains were dirtbags but even common dirtbags don't deserve to be severely burned or nearly brain damaged.

^Oh so you hate most of the villains down falls. And I do agree what Scott got wasn't fully earned he left the game with his phobia and once he got back one of them said "Who cares it's Scott" And everyone laughed. And believe it or not. I cried because of that comment I thought him being sent off with his phobia than being in a full body cast/ robot suit was enough and even a little over bored. Brain damage did happen did you see how he was in TDAS compared to that season. But to be fair no one was in character in that season.

I honestly liked TDI for the most part, although there were moments that really bothered me. The same goes for TDA. TDWT only had few parts that were great.....the rest was just annoying and the singing needed to stop RIGHT AWAY. TDROTI was ridiculous. And TDAS was absolutely horrendous. After TDI, the writing slipped and every character changed for the worst, some more than others. I also hated that some of the couples literally sucked the life out of the show. It became the couple show, rather than Total Drama. I also really hated the forced friendships that the show had. And I hated how this show didn't even teach a "moral" lesson or something. Idk.....most kid's shows do that where they show the characters learning from mistakes or something along those lines. We didn't get any of that. If a character screwed up, they didn't learn from a mistake, and they kept repeating it.... and it was getting annoying.

^^Yeah, I liked Heather's in TDI, but I think Alejandro's in TDWT and Scott's in TDROTI almost seemed like the equivalent of cutting off a man's hand for stealing, the downfalls didn't fit their actions in my opinion. Yes, Heather had no hair for a whole season but at least she wasn't left with physical/mental injuries.
