As a Christian and bible teacher I am pretty well known in many nations. I have done work in Israel, Canada, The United States, El Salvador, India and Ceylon. I served as a missionary in The Philippines. And I have experienced some of the most astounding supernatural events, witnessed por hundreds of people all over the world.
A pregunta that has come up más than a few times is why I watch The Vampire Diaries so much. "How could you, as a servant of Christ watch that show?"
For a long time even I did not understand why I was so taken por the show. There is quite a bit of blood and gore. And yet week after week I found myself racing inicial to watch it. Especially after the introduction of Klaus and his family. Wow! Finally this summer I found the answer. Actually I discovered that there were two reasons I really enjoy the show.
The first reason is The Vampire Diaries is a classic genre, no different than King Arthur, Troy o the story of King David. Every classic of this genre has three elements.
There must be a hero o heroine. There must be a villain o great challenge to overcome and there must be a princess o beautiful lady to save. Romance has always been essential to a great story.
The Vampire Diaries has all of these elements and much more. In some ways tu could say that there are two heroes; Stefan and Damon, depending on how tu view Damon. Klaus and Katherine would certainly be the classic evil villains and of course Elena is the beautiful maiden that we all want to rescue.
My segundo reason is I really identify with the characters. Stefan is what really attracted me to the show.
Stefan is this really cool guy, the classic hero who like David and Samson has this constant battle against his dark side. And in my own life I have learned how amargo, amargos and difficult that battle can be. And like so many heroes of the past Stefan is willing to sacrifice everything for his true amor the beautiful Elena Gilbert.
Damon is like this no nonsense, in your face guy who would be a great warrior in any time period. And yet he can be as romantic as any man could be.
And then tu have Bonnie who uses supernatural power to help her friends. If we combine all of the above with fantastic story lines, excellent scenery and some really beautiful women like Caroline and Rose. Well what más can I say!
Should a Christian watch The Vampire Diaries? I expect it would depend on your point of view. As for me the Characters have dado me a great deal of inspiration.
Now I just need to find the Elena o Caroline in my life!

“Can I come in? This talks so…weird, tu know. And if Veronica sees us…” Stefan dicho warning.
“I’m not afraid of Veronica” Rachel dicho in such way it sounded like she meant the opposite.
Katherine was dragging Gabe’s corpse to the backside of Rachel’s house. She couldn’t get inside the house, so she opened the window to the basement and pushed Gabe’s body inside. She held his shoulders and let him down carefully. When she thought it was seguro she let go. The corpse fell on the basement floor, mute for a human ear, but as Katherine heard the thump, she figured Rachel would’ve too.
“Damn it” she mouthed. She stood and looked around. Rachel was nowhere to be seen and from what Katherine could hear, she was still listening philosophized to Stefan. If Rachel had heard anything, she sure didn’t suspect anything.

“You’re going to regret this” Rebekah dicho trembling. “That’s my necklace. I lost it, back in the twenties. On the night I met your brother” Klaus never dicho she couldn’t tell Damon.
“You’re lying” Damon replied supercilious.
“Am I, now?” Rebekah dicho slowly as she stepped closer to Damon. “Stefan knew how to experience all the perks of being a vampire. We had so much fun together, while tu were probably sulking over your dear Katherine”
“And you’re telling me this, because?” Damon wondered.
“Stefan and I have a past, a present and if tu back off and don’t pull of stunts like tu just did, then we might have a future” Rebekah answered threatening.
“But pulling stunts is so fun” Damon replied.
“You don’t want be on my bad side, Damon” Rebekah threatened. Suddenly she gasped, her eyes bulged and her face turned dark grey.
“No” a female voice said. “But I do”
Rebekah fell down and Katherine appeared.
