yes damon and elena do go out but i do not think they make a better couple then elena and stefan.

I just amor damon and elena together as they mostrar passion, adventure and most of all amor for eachother.... With Stephen it just caring and love... Which is boring.

Elena + Damon got married at the finale. It's seguro to say Damon opened his bar + Elena became a doctor. Probably they had a bunch of kids so they lived happily ever after! ♥
