I agree with WritersMelody, and thats something Christine and the rest of them ddnt take notice on, they just went omg his face is distorted! he must be such a terrible person! thats what gets me mad
it actually annoys me that his deformity isn't that bad looking. When his mask is first taken off it looks bad but in less harsh lighting in the very next seen he is still good looking, althought not comparable to his first full appearance to Christine with his mask on...wow...
Gerry, yes, hot of course lol. The actor in the musical I saw wasn't fantastic looking. He's not supposed to be though that's the whole deal. He's torn between anger at society, complete shame of his appearance and love and selfishness. Definitely a beautiful character. <3 <3 <3
*Stands there being totally unimpressed with Gerard Butler* The man can't sing! He sounds like a moose! And while he's not ugly, he's not my version of hot. *Has had issues with Gerry since he f***ed up Dracula*
In the book, well. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And my corpsey Erik is incredibly dear to me. I don't think I could ever see him as truly ugly.
He just looks a bit sunburned in the movie, which makes the seen where Bouquet describes severity of the Leroux-phantom hilarious. That and Butler can't sing, a annoys me to no ends.
I guess it depends on which Phantom you're referring to. If it's the 2004 movie, then no. But if you're talking about it in reality or in general, then yes, because he is suppose to be ugly -- that's the whole point of the story and what made Erik who he is.
...it's kind of the point. I don't consider him 'hot' or 'pretty' but I find him adorably sexy in a creepy stalker way. But he's corpse-y, guys. Would I do him? Totally. Do I consider him hot? Nope. Besides, it's the voice that matters here. ;)
Er.... well that is the point...
2004 movie obviously Joel Schumacher didn't get that.. idiot..
I think it does depend on the version, the musical isn't really that bad, but sacrifices needed to be made so they actor could actually sing..
Obviously the book has more options than a movie or musical to describe it.. But the for '04 movie the technology they had on offer they could have created that character..
yeah of course he is, Christine even describes him as "smelling like death, and having a skeleton head" doesn't sound attractive to me. But at least he can sing...
Depends on which version but in the 2004 movie no he was handsome even with the disfigurement he was also beautiful on the inside besides the mental issues he had,I always wondered what if Christine would of picked him instead of raoul.
Even when he had his mask off I was drooling over him!
haha
*stands in corner and rants to self*
