Ponyboy’s Perspective
“It’s just gonna be like falling asleep, right?” (Y/N) sniffles from my lap, head resting on my shoulder.
“Yeah.” I manage to say. “But a lot better. You’re gonna be happy forever.” I say quietly.
The doctors couldn’t do anything más for her. They told me to take her home, she’d be más comfortable that way.
“I’m gonna miss you.” She whispers.
“Not as much as I’m going to miss you,” I say, hand brushing through her hair.
We were sitting on the back porch, just as the sun was setting.
“I’ll wait for you, tu know.” She says, managing to smile.
I smile back down at her. “I know. It’s gonna be one hell of a party up there.”
“We can watch sunsets across the world,” she says.
“Yeah.” I say.
She starts to doze off.
“Wait!” I say loudly. Her eyes flash open. “I amor tu so much. tu have no idea how much I’m going to miss you.” I hold her tighter. “I’m going to be fine though. I promise. And I can’t wait to see you. I know you’re good hands… And I just amor tu (Y/N).” The silent tears just flow.
She pulls me in for one last passionate kiss.
“I amor tu too.” She whispers.
We sit for a few minutes. She dozes off, this time I don’t say anything.
This is the last time I’d hold her with her corazón beating.

“Hmmm… Merry Christmas.” tu mumble.
“I got all of Danny’s presents under the tree.” He says, snuggling down into the cama a little more.
“Did tu remember the football?” tu ask.
“Yeah, I remembered that. It’s the best gift.” He smiles. “He’ll amor it.”
“Yeah…” tu mumble.
“Before tu fall back asleep, I have a present for you.” He whispers to you.
“Mhmm?”
He leans over you, mostrando tu a black box.
tu open it, to see the most beautiful necklace.
“It was my mom’s.” he mutters. “I thought you’d like it.”
“I amor it.”
“Merry Christmas, honey.”
