Poor Dylan O’Brien! The ‘Maze Runner’ star’s injuries from a March 2016 set accident are ‘very serious,’ and he needs more time to recover. Production on ‘The Death Cure’ has been halted until Dylan is well enough to come back.

“His injuries are very serious and he needs more time to recover,” said Dylan’s publicist, Jennifer Allen, told our sister site

“The resumption of principal photography on ‘Maze Runner: The Death Cure’ has been further delayed to allow Dylan O’Brien more time to fully recover from his injuries,” Fox said in a statement. “We wish Dylan a speedy recovery and look forward to restarting production as soon as possible.”

Dylan was injured in an on-set car accident and reportedly fractured his cheekbone or orbital socket. He was immediately taken to the hospital for his injuries. He has been recovering in private since the accident.
