Thomas Brodie-Sangster has been acting since the age of 11. His most notable role is as Liam Neeson\'s stepson in "Love Actually," but he has appeared on a number of productions since, including HBO\'s hit series "Game of Thrones." This year, the actor will return on the big screen as Newt in "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials" on Sept. 18. Before you see him running from the forces of WCKD, learn five fascinating facts about the actor.

And not just in a casual kind of way. With parents who are both musicians, it appears pretty natural for Brodie-Sangster to also have a penchant for the art.

"I play bass. I play a bit of guitar," the actor told

Interview magazine. "I\'ve never been to a lesson, so my theory of music is non-existent in any instrument, but we always had guitars around. My dad taught me to play drums for \'Love Actually\', and I still play drums now. But I\'m not a \'drummer.\' I\'m not a \'guitarist.\' I\'m trying to be a bassist."

He first started driving a motorcycle at the age of 15. Describing his first ride, the Thomas Brodie-Sangster told Teen magazine in an interview, "It wasn\'t a Barbie pink, it was more like a salmon. It was like a little Vespa."

Unlike most guys his age, Brodie-Sangster would rather spend his weekend nights at home in South London with his mother and sister.

"I don\'t go to church; I was brought up as a Catholic, but I don\'t get anything out of it now, although I respect others\' beliefs when it gives hope," he wrote for The Telegraph.

When asked what his favorite item of clothing is, Thomas Brodie-Sangster answered "a good vintage suit." He also said attending the Goodwood Vintage Festival is one of his favorite things to do.
