I love the name Melody... ariel is too common

I don't think its common at all... I actually think Melody is more common. I think its a very pretty name. Plus I like Ariel much more than I like Melody.

I've only met an Ariel once in my life, scratch the movie, and I've been jealous ever since ;)

Arial is a great name and its not that common. Melody more common them arial.

Ariel is my second favortie princess, but i have to admit i prefer the name Melody.. even though i don't like the character Melody

Some people are just picking either Ariel or Melody because they like either of them best. The question is: What NAME do you like best? This doesn't mean your favorite character at all! Anyways, I like the name Melody best, even though most people seem to prefer Ariel. :/

I also like both characters equally, but I also think Ariel has a better singing voice then Melody, But Melody's voice is pretty too! I think they both have beautiful voices! ^-^

One of my best friends is named Ariel. The only way people who just meet her remember her name is by remembering her as the Little Mermaid. She doesn't appreciate that too much...

Love the name Melody, but Ariel is 10 x Better!

This name is sooooooo freaking gorgeous. I absolutely adore the sound of it, the way it flows so musically...Melody is nice, too, at that. But I've never had strong feelings about it.

I also LOVE Vanessa (and Ursula, for that matter), but it was originally between Ariel and Melody, mother and daughter--so let's keep it that way!
