Do tu think that Simba and Nala talked/said goodbye before the war against Zira's pride?

I mean.. this could easily be the last time they would see eachother since there was a possibility that they -or one of them- wouldn't make it out of there alive. Plus, it kind of bothers me that when they approach Zira's pride Nala isn't even close to Simba but she is walking "alone"
