Doc started the dissection.
Jared tried to get me to leave the clinic, but I refused to leave. Ian and Jared couldn't get me out, they only had to rely on Kyle. Too bad he was with Sunny.
So, instead, I got to watch Doc work his magic.
At first, I couldn't help anticipating what was going to happen. I was jumpy, I continued to rub my hands on my thighs, even though I was just rubbing part of my leg and the stupid sun dress.
When Doc finally started, I acted like I was calm. Even though I continued to rub my hands on my thighs, I played it cool.
As Doc cut into the side of the neck, Wanda and Melanie helped him. Blood poured onto the rag underneath his neck, just so blood wouldn't stain the cot.
It wasn't long till silver cut through the red -- I stared in disbelief, wondering how this was possible. I watched as Doc slid over and placed the Soul into the cryotank that Ian was holding open. I watched as he gently closed the door, then the light change color.
They sealed up his neck, with well, the seal. They had taken the medicines I was carrying with me, I refused at first, but then agreed to do so. I figured I shouldn't be so selfish.
It was like someone worked a miracle.
The human lied on the cot, eyes closed. He looked peaceful, like he was calmly sleeping. I smiled at the body on the cot, Wanda sat siguiente to him, she didn't leave his side. Was this something she always did?
"Wanda, what are tu doing?" I whispered, standing behind Wanda.
"If tu talk to him, he'll respond." She whispered, still rubbing his head.
"But, tu aren't speaking." I dicho quietly, bending adelante, hacia adelante some, so I was close to her shoulder.
"I'm trying to think of names, they respond to their names sometimes," she dicho in a hushed tone. I nodded once, thinking of names myself. It wouldn't hurt to help.
"Maybe I can help," I whispered, then began to think of some names.
Wanda had drifted off asleep, she was leaning on my shoulder. I was sitting on the cot siguiente to her, I could feel all her body weight leaning on me, which wasn't a lot. She had to weigh less than one hundred pounds.
"Marcus? David? Alex...? Alexander...?" I whispered my eyes fluttering often. When was the last time I slept?
"Jerry? Greg...? Adam...? Um... You're not giving me... much to work with," I yawned. My eyes where closed this time, my head slowly leaning on Wanda's head.
"What about Will? William? Liam?" I asked, leaning adelante, hacia adelante some. I tried my hardest to keep my eyes open.
I was parched, I needed some water. I didn't realize how difficult this would be.
"What about one of those religious names? Like Micah...?" I whispered, leaning on Wanda again. "Or maybe... Anthony? o Abraham?" I yawned.
"Ooh, maybe your name is Gabriel. That was the name of my... brother," I rubbed my right eye with my right hand. My eyes where still closed. "Or... Chase? Charlie? Charlie was always a girl name to me, for some... some reason." I laughed quietly with no humor.
"Or... Aidan? Maybe Alec? I get Alec and Alex confused, often..." My voice slowly drifted off, I didn't realize how tired I was until I let myself fall asleep.
I woke up on the cot, my head was under a pillow, but my back was aching. The small clinic was crowded, the air was tight. I felt claustrophobic.
I rubbed my eyes with the balls of my fist, then slowly sat up.
I looked over at the cot siguiente to mine, which was empty. Where was the body?
"Hey guys," I croaked. I didn't really see who was in the clinic. My voice was hoarse, I was even más parched than last night. o whenever I went to sleep.
"Brandt, go get her some water," Jared demanded. I slowly made my way to my feet, letting out a groan when I noticed the red vestido de verano, sundress and my bare feet.
"How long was I out?" I asked, walking towards Jared. Doc, Jared and Brandt where in the room. Well, Brandt was in the room, he went to go get me some water.
"A couple of hours," Doc said.
The red head was sitting up, Jared and Doc where crowding over him. I pushed past the two, so I was looking down at the redhead.
He was sitting with his legs crossed underneath him. His eyes where impossibly emerald, like the color of fresh grass.
"So the dissection worked?" I whispered to Doc, not taking my eyes away from the man.
Doc nodded twice in approval, Jared grunted once.
"What's his name?" I croaked quietly.
This time, Jared o Doc didn't answer. He did.
"Aidan."
So I had gotten it right?
Jared and Doc gaped at the man, their mouths wide open. I gave the two puzzled looks. Had he not spoken before? I arched an eyebrow at them, then turned back to Aidan with a smile.
"I'm Shay."

In some ways its icky for me to say that I like Ian because I have a cousin named Ian so I tried not to like Ian from the Host por secretly dissing him. For example "Too clingy! To lovestruck! GET A LIFE!" Sorry people who like Ian. After a while I started liking Ian and so it was all cool and I didnt diss him much anymore. I still like Jared más in some ways but in others Ian from The Host is my kind of man. But even though he is like perfect he still doesnt make it into my fishnet. My fishnet is only wide enough for Jasper, Seth, Emmett and Jared. Maybe Ian from The Host will find his way through but until then I am unaware.
Go Ian and Jared people!!! I hate picking más then one so picking both is so like me! :-)
WOOOT!
