Why is Darius the only one with a "normal" name?

i think odd-duck meant was that at the time of his (darius) birth, the rule was if your mother was not a chosen tu could not become a brother. but yes, butch is a brother because wrath changed the rules.

To be honest i think the name has no real significance, Darius was killed off in the beginning of the book and laid down the story line for Beth and John. If tu want to look at higher rank, Wrath's fathers name was Wrath and he was king. The blind king didnt want to be king that is why he was a warrior. So i dont really think rank has anything to do with names, I just think that Darius, was a small but very impacting character to the series

The Scribe Vrigin changed the rules for Butch. But the rules didn't really start to change until Phury wanted to mate Cormia. The Scribe Vrigin made a special exception for Butch because he was part of the Destoryer Prophecy.
