Want To Help Write Taylor Swift’s New Book? Here’s How You Can
Next October marks the 10th anniversary of Taylor Swift’s first album,
. This album from Big Machine Records dropped when Swift was only 16 years old, and gave us gems like “Teardrops on My Guitar” and “Our Song.” To celebrate the album that introduced us to the magic that is T-Swift, Simon & Schuster publishing will create a monumental book about the pop star — and superfans are the ones who will help make it come alive.
reports the book, debuting Oct. 24, 2016, is going to “be oversized and illustrated to give it a scrapbook-like feel, stuffed with fan art, concert photos, and the best writing published about Swift during the past decade.” Interestingly, Tay Tay isn’t helping with the book, nor has she endorsed it, according to

Here’s a list of all the ways you can get involved with this awesome project.
Is there a favorite article you’ve seen written about Swift? Submit it!
Email tips@swiftfanbook.com to recommend any pieces you deem worthy enough to go in a T-Swift book.
Start chatting up the project with fellow Swifties.

Using the hashtag #SwiftFanBook, Simon & Schuster want fans to “join the conversation.”
Submit your title idea to www.SwiftFanBook.com and include a short response of 250 words or less about why your title is the dopest of them all. If you win, you’ll receive a credit in the book and $2,500. The contest will last from Dec. 13, 2015 through Jan. 13, 2016.
Obviously, the book will be made up of a plethora of authors, but one lucky person gets to have his or name officially attached to the project. Besides the printed name, this contest winner will get to help Simon & Schuster choose content for the book. Oh, and the lucky Swiftie will receive $10,000, be flown to New York for a press tour, do a book signing and possibly make appearances on media outlets. Whoa.
To enter, submit a short video (no longer than three minutes) explaining why you are perfect for this job to www.SwiftFanBook.com. The contest will last from Dec. 13, 2015 through Jan. 13, 2016.
Submit your cover designs to www.SwiftFanBook.com and your artwork could be featured as the cover. The winner will also receive $5,000. This contest will last from Feb. 1, 2016, through Mar. 1, 2016.
Serious photographers with high-quality images of Swift may have their photos used in the book.
Sorry, this does not include iPhone and other cell phone pictures. Email images@swiftfanbook.com and provide some information about your photos and/or photo library.
Talented artists and illustrators may have their work included in the book.
This is a similar set up as the photographs. Email images@swiftfanbook.com explanations about your artwork. Those whose work is selected will receive a free copy of the book.
I'm still upset I wasn't a contestant on Figure It Out in the '90s.
