I almost picked yes but then I thought about it, Dean seems to have the most Fangirls (me included)from what I've seen and then it's a close tie between Sam and Castiel. Now Castiel has had about a season long story arc one episode dedicated solely to him (the one with jimmy doesn't count because that was infact a bout jimmy not Cas)Where Sam has had multiple seasons dedicated to him and episode about him and etc etc. So I can see how it would seem that Castiel was outshining Sam since this season turned out to be mostly about him and the war in heaven. But it was also about Sam's soul and I just think people didn't worry too much about it because they knew he would get it back before the season was done whereas we had no idea what would happen to Cas thus we worried a little more about him(at least I did) This season finale was about two people in my opinion Sam putting the pieces back together, and Castiel going off the deep end and I think they balanced it well IMO.

I don't think Castiel is outshining Sam I think the writers were just giving him time to have the spotlight for a little bit, where as Sam and Dean have had the spotlight from season 1 episode 1.

it 's not always with sam...sometimes he's outspanning dean too...
maybe the more complexe character of castiel this season made that too...the scenarist made (not very well except in the last episodes)this new "unpleasant" castiel but suddendly castiel is more charismatic than before (yes it's possible) and outspanning more than before the other actors...don't misunderstanding me, i love the 2 brothers basic of the show but really castiel is awesome and misha incredible

nobody can outshine Sam at least nobody other than Dean...LOL

Simply because some or most of Castiel/Dean fan's believe so. Obviously, Sam just faded into the background for them.
So better to say, they would like it to be the Dean/Cas show and screw Sam for he's not up close and personal like they see it in case with Dean/Cas bond. Dean is followed closely by Cas and their odd-couple friendship has become primary reason for many to watch this show. Sam is included in their point of view, but hardly identified! Correct me if i'm wrong. Is Sam outshined? Sorry, the way he is for you - no way he will ever be for me!

Kind of ... I can see how people would think that but in the end the show isn't about Castiel at all. It's about Sam and Dean. He's just part of their story/journey. So overall .. nope!

obviously is not the dean/castiel fans who think that but most of the time , sam's fans...some of them were really mad about the relation between dean and castiel during the 4 and 5th season, thinking that castiel stole the place of sam...no way...it was dean/cass but also sam/ruby...dean and sam're always brothers , they're so closed after all they're lived...this year, dean/sam were more closed than ever and castiel was out of the game (alone)
so i'm a dean/castiel fan, yes but for me, sam'll be always the first for dean
but it's true that when misha/castiel is on the screen (only in this case) is outspanning sam and not only him...lol...

my order has shifted from Dean, Sam, Cas to Dean, Cas, Sam. ♥
