What are y'all thought on Storm being played por lightskin short biracial actresses?

Chris Hemsworth looks like Thor. Robert Downey Jr. looks like Tony Stark. Chris Evans looks like Captain America. Chadwick Boseman looks like T'Challa (then again, they had someone who cared about making sure the main characters were close to their comic book counterparts in appearance). Rebecca Romijin looked like Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence's performance didn't grip me).

All these characters have a strong resemblance to the person they play in the comics, and yet Storm is the one person they can't get right. Halle Berry (phenomenal actress) and Alexandra Shipp (bleh) were so banal and run-of-the-mill in their portrayals that they were reduced to 'oh, this actress is in Cosplay' instead of playing the character. There really is no reason, *especially now* why they can't get someone that resembles Storm in the comics, Why is it that everyone can look the part, but Storm is made to look like something she's not? This woman in the photograph can easily play Storm {ig: melvnin (Gambian)} so I see no excuses to keep going with Shipp.

That excuse of 'Names sell cine in Hollywood' isn't an excuse to stand on either. There have been PLENTY of cine with big actors and they flopped.
