“THE CELEBRATION OF MEDIOCRITY AND UNORIGINALITY IN “STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS”

Look … I liked the new “STAR WARS” movie, “THE FORCE AWAKENS”. I honestly do. Heck, I feel it is better than J.J. Abrams’ two “STAR TREK” films. But I am astounded that this film has garnered so much acclaim. It has won the AFI Award for Best Picture. It has been nominated por the Critics Choice Award for Best Picture.

“THE FORCE AWAKENS”??? Really? It did not take long for certain fans to point out that the movie’s plot bore a strong resemblance to the first “STAR WARS” movie, “A...

Did tu know that Jedi had cell phones...

Okay, not really. But if they did (or if tu are an ultimate estrella Wars Fan), this is what their/your phone would feature:

-The ringtone would be the main estrella wars theme.
-The ringtone for when your father calls would be the Darth...

It was during this moment when young Rey experienced visions of her past as a child and her future encounter with villain Kylo Ren. It was this moment when movie audiences became aware of her connection to the Force.

I really do not recall how I felt when I first saw this scene. After all, it has been at least two years since the movie’s release. Yet, the más I think about it, the más I have come...

"STAR WARS: EPISODE II - ATTACK OF THE CLONES" (2002) Review

The fandom surrounding the 2002 movie, "STAR WARS: EPISODE II - ATTACK OF THE CLONES" has always struck me as somewhat a fickle affair. When the movie first hit the theaters over eleven years ago, many critics and film fans had declared the movie a major improvement over its predecessor, 1999's "STAR WARS: EPISODE I - THE PHANTOM MENACE". Some even went out of their way to declare it as the segundo best estrella WARS movie ever made. Another three to five years passed before the critics and fans' judgement went through a complete reversal....
