this is a tough question. Patrick Stewart's performance in TNG is the only reason I became interested in Star Trek. He's dreamy! But after having watched all of Voyager, I really think Janeway could kick Picard's butt!

Personaly I liked Janeway , but Picard is just better .

I love all the captains but I think Janeway had issues to deal with that no other captain had to, so she is my pick. Although Picard is fantastic too. TNG is why I started to love Star Trek in the firdst place. Picard also got me into Earl grey.

I really like both captains. But the way Captain Janeway dealt with fusing two crew together, finding the way home and the problems on the way made me pick her. But then again Captain Picard was cool too. He is THE captain. ;-)

totally janeway! at least she has hair! (not to mention the fact that some of her hair-dos can sometimes out-do princess leia!)

Janeway was always my LEAST favourite, and Picard is just awesome.

i luv them both but i grew up w/t this one first so naturally i chose picard i almost picked janeway cuz shes the 1st and only cool star trek captain but i couldnt pick b/w the 2

Janeway is so awesome! She's just so....yeh awesome was the right word - and in a way totally badass but not lol yeh i'm making sense. Picard's is "one of the greats" as Janeway put it but from my Star trek viewing Janeway is an amazing captain.

Never seen voyager but I would have picked picard anyway

Tough one. Not to say Picard could not handle extreme emergencies (in fact he has!)or be diplomatic enough to integrate two crews, but Janeway stepped up and did it.

Janeway for sure! She was forced to take command of two crews who hated each other and in the middle of some quadrant that no one had even been to. Plus she destroyed the borg!

Kirk is not in the running because he would probably vote for himself from beyond the grave and the fourth wall! FYI, I would vote Capt Archer before Kirk and Janeway... anyway.

I can't pick, I love them both! But Janeway because she's the only female, she became an admiral (Star Trek: Nemesis)and outranked Picard, and also because she had more to deal with than he did and didn't A.) Go insane or B.) get her and her crew killed. She even got them home against all odds. So yeah. Janeway all the way.

it is very hard question. Picard would talk to enemies and talk, Janeway would shoot them :-)
