A guide to a successful, drama free fanclub in a simple guide

1) RESPECT EVERYONE REGARDLESSS OF RACE, GENDER IDENTITY, SEX, SEXUALITY o RELIGION

This one should be a given, it doesn't matter who tu are o what tu believe, respect other people, even if they contradict your beliefs

2) TRAUMA TRIGGERS

Trigger Warnings (or TW) is a phrase I picked up on tumblr, essentially it's so people can avoid posts using tumblr savior (which blocks posts if they contain a certain word) that they find traumatic. Now, keeping this in mind, tu CAN DRAW/WRITE/DO WHAT tu WANT, if tu want to post it, post it as a link listing all the possible triggers, as for posting them in artículos and foros posts, lista the triggers at the parte superior, arriba of the articulo and for questions, encuestas and videos, put it in the title. Now, tu shouldn't abuse these triggers, they aren't for something tu simply dislike, they are for something that UPSETS tu TO THE POINT OF EXTREME DISTRESS, these are things like phobias, rape, blood, gore, suicide, ect.

3) IT IS OKAY TO BE UPSET por SOMETHING

Believe it o not, it is okay to take offence to something! o not agree with something o whatever, but, don't be a dick about it. Politely mention that tu are offended por what someone has said, allow the other person to apologise and mover on, do not cause an argument. However, do not take it upon yourself to try and remove the thing publicado that causes offence, that is up to the original author, they may just make amendments, tu never know.

4) APOLOGISING IS A THING PEOPLE NEED TO DO

Apologies can go a long way! So, if tu have, intentionally o not, offended someone, apologise to them! Don't cause a scene, even if tu feel they are wrongly offended.

Extra note: Do not feel tu need to take something down, however. There's a difference between offence and dislike, tu make the final judgement. Again, tu can draw/write/do what tu want.

5) THINGS tu PROBABLY SHOULDN'T JOKE ABOUT

Also a lista for those of tu who don't quite know what's acceptable and what isn't

A. Rape
B. Suicide
C. Racial Stereotypes
D. Gender Stereotypes
E. Murder
F. Mental illness
G. Any illness really

Extra note: Using slurs like nigger, retard o fag as an insult isn't a good idea either.

6) DON'T TAG YOUR HATE

Tagging one's hate refers to escritura o drawing something displaying a dislike for something and then posting it somewhere all about the thing tu dislike. The only thing you'll succeed in doing is making people upset. So just don't.

7) THIS SITE IS NOT MEANT TO BE 100% CHILD FRIENDLY

Whilst these are actually general tips for people of all ages, this site is not for children under 13. I suppose this falls under "People can do what they want". If tu are under 13 then I really don't think tu have a right to be shocked, really.

The website warned tu already when tu first joined, it's like clicking on a link after you've been warned of the trigger, really.

(I can't help but think that everything I say is going to be taken as 'oh Taco uses big words and is a snark', but I suppose that's kind of preferable to being indifferent to others?) And if a person is offended by something that the tags warned them of after reading them, then too fucking bad for them, I'll say. 3) While I mostly agree with this one... Apologizing. That's not a thing people [i]do[/i], dearie, especially if they believe the other person is wrong. One person may say 'fuck' or 'shit' to me, and that'd be totally cool, but if a person said the same to Tak, he'd be offended. I do not believe that apologizing is needed, especially if it goes against the person's (the one who offended the other) morals, code, or religious views. (Eg; As a LeVayan Satanist, I think candles are pretty damn groovy. If someone else found candles offensive, then I see no need to apologize for posting candle-related, as it's not a common fear/phobia, and generally not something to worry about. Same for swearing; it's a big part of Australian culture, and as an Australian, I am not going to give up my right to say 'fuck' just because some sissy-ass motherfucker things it's 'bad words.' HOWEVER; don't be a dick, and if you're roleplaying with said sissy-ass motherfucker, then there is NO NEED to swear at them in particular. But that moreso comes under 'respect' than 'apology.' It should be the responsibility of the person offended to move on, not the person who "caused" the offense.) 4) Think I summed this one up above. 5) Those are 7 things worth not joking about, unless you directly know the person you're talking to, and know they won't be offended by it. Racial jokes are A-OKAY with me, but to someone else, that's not the case, and that's fine. As someone who's been effected by suicide, I find it very offensive, and I always let people know BEFORE engaging in jokes. 6) Hate has it's place in the world and I think people forget that. Tags are no place for hate, however. Hate something if you want. But hate it with other people who hate it, there's no need to offend anyone else. 7) THANK YOU FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS EVER. YES. I'VE BEEN SAYING THIS FOR YEARS AND NO-ONE EVVVERRRR LISTENED. Don't get me wrong, underage users are fine by me, so long as they ARE NOT obnoxious little shits.
