I hate to break it to you - but you do live in that part of the world. One out of eight American women have been a victim of sexual abuse or assault.

... And if you mean where people come up with crazy ideas, well then clearly you don't stay up late enough to watch infomercials.

Now I'm picturing Billy Mays selling this product at 3am (Yes, I know he's dead). I have no problem with the product. It should be very useful for women, though it could mean she's just killed or raped in another orifice. If it does make it to the US of A, the marketing will probably go very, very wrong:

"Rapex: Mugging now. Mangled johnson later."
"Rapex: Now you can truly reenact the movie Teeth"
"Rapex: Bite back"

Okay I'm done. I can't help but think women would use this as punishment for a cheating boyfriend and not just for protection (Not that I have anything to worry about, but still *cringe*).

Ouch! I wonder what it feels like to a woman. If it hurts while it's in... But still it's a good idea.

It looks...gross. but it'll end up hurting the guy if the woman is raped.

I've seen this posted elsewhere. The general consensus was that the rapist would likely get angry and hurt the victim, and that the woman shouldn't have to prepare to be raped like that.
