Severus Snape's Wand 

I love it so much!

In my fanfic, Severus has an Ebony wand with a core of Phoenix talon. Why ? Here are my explanations :

- ebony : black in color, a wood that is very heavy and magnetically powerful. Though ebony is not one of the sacred woods of the Celts, it as a wand perfect for Dark Moon magic, those operations that seek to banish, dissolve, disapparate or cast off evil or outworn influences. Ebony is quite a popular wood for wands, and is unquestionably very handsome. It's presence and energy is very strong, and so it is not a wood for the faint of heart. - phoenix talon : talons are like claws, they are made to grip. Severus has a very possessive streak (well, that's how I feel it) and gripping, groping, grabbing reflects that possessive nature of his. I can imagine that his grip has something reassuring and powerful too. The Phoenix is also a symbol of fire, a sign of resilience and renewal. Last but not least, it tells of the true allegiance of our dear Potions Master.

Hence Severus in my fanfic has an Ebony wand with a Phoenix talon core. All in all, he may be dark outside but truly attached to light inside.
