There are several songs I feel could be "life songs" for Severus Snape. These lyrics I share here are for two songs I amor dearly. They're very profound for me, partly because they're Johnny Cash, and came toward the end of his life. I find that the work Mr. Cash did around the time of his death is por far the deepest, I think perhaps because he was confronting his own mortality face to face, and he did not look away.

These songs, por the way, have been used as tributes to someone else I loved very much...a man por the name of Captain Phil Harris.
