Finally after week o 2 of teasers from Selena Gomez’s newest video, “Hit the Lights”, it was released. Selena who shared a couple of her teasers and an exclusive behind the scenes look leading up to the video had fun. According to her, it is all about having fun and letting go of the world’s issues. As tu can tell in the video down below, she certainly captured that well in the música video. Selena switched up her looks throughout the video, even going for a más punk rock look. This video is for her third single off When the Sun Goes Down.

This video clearly proves that she is no longer a disney star. It is a departure from what we have seen her do before, but also marks a new chapter in her career. I do think that this kind of música suits her well, even if it is something we will have to get used to. It is something that she has done slowly and we all should be grateful for that. She has not been one to rush growing up.

Do tu approve of Selena’s new sound? She is 19 and we cannot expect her to stay the sweet 15 año old we all knew. She is an adult and she is proving that she can be seen seriously for her music. She is working hard to make sure people know she is much más than just a former disney teen queen. That is something we can respect. She is not doing gimmicks to get that respect and that makes her a good role model in my opinion.
