When Selena was about seven, she decided she wanted to become an actress. Mandy took Selena to an audition against about 1,4000 kids. Selena soon appeared on Barney and Friends, where she met her BFF for life, Demi Lovato.
At the age of twelve, Selena traveled to Austin, Texas, for her disney Channel casting call. Selena was soon on a plane to Los Angeles to audition for a disney Channel show.
Selena ws casting the lead role on a show, but it was not picked to be put o air. But disney did ot forget about her. She guest-starred in Hannah Montana and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Her big break finally came when she was casted as Alez Russo on the mostrar Wizards of Waverly Place.
Selena wanted to be in a movie, too. Selena auditioned for the movie Another cenicienta Story,
and was casted as Mary (Cinderella), and her co-star was Drew Seeley, a young superstar who went on tour woth the High School Musical cast.
Selena knew that her face was known to thousands o even millions of kids around the country, but she wanted to have a concierto with her best friend, Demi Lovato. Selena and Demi starred in the disney Channel original movie, Princess Protection Program.
