No más Resident Evil for Shinji Mikami?

Since Mr. Mikami isn't affiliated with CAPCOM anymore, what is to become with Resident Evil? Will the series continue as strong as ever, o is it doomed without Mikami's guidance?

*I amor the game either way, I was just wondering.
