Its obvious and he actually admits it at the end of the manga, in his head atleast. But yes it was worded ' I love you ' for those who've only watched the anime, so it wasn't just an opinion on who you think he loves.

He fell in love with Akane, and Akane loves him. They may not always show it, but just that is enough of a reason why neither of them could be paired with anyone else, no matter what others people want its not going to changes facts. I love this couple!

Ranma and Akane Forever, YEAH!

Anyone who read the end of the manga would know the answer to this question. Akane was the only girl Ranma saw as a potential love interest. The others didn't even place in that category.

He does fall for Akane, which is why I have trouble understanding why people want to play with the idea of Ranma belonging with some one else. Its just idiotic if you ask me, but I atleast like to hear WHY? Sometimes. And I do my best to listen, but the reality of the situation is too obvious. Ranma loves Akane, Akane loves Ranma, they were chosen to be the cannon couple for a reason, and Ranma and Akane were made for each other.

Ranma even admits he does love her in the manga!!!! I was so happy! Only to have it crushed by that failed wedding. Damn!

Akane is the only girl I think is strong enough to be a TRUE partner with Ranma. Shampoo and Ukyo are too busy trying to please him and fight over him. Ranma needs someone who will not agree with most everything he says and isn't afraid to tell him off when he's about to do something REALLY stupid or lets his ego get away with him. All Shampoo and Ukyo do is Inflate it, and considering he generates a ki attack based on pure confidence, an ego booster is the LAST thing Ranma needs. Plus Ranma can be a total jerk sometimes and he need some one, not only willing to put up with him, but some one who will speak her mind. I think Akane is the only female who is WOMAN enough to take on someone like Ranma.

I don't really think Shampoo has a ice cube's chance in hell of Ranma falling in love with her. ( without the help of some sort of magical item that is.) She manipulates him and purposely puts in a situation where she wants him to fight for her. She can be extremely selfish at times and is not afraid of hurting people who stand in her way.
I'll admit Akane has a short temper, but she is a very caring and sweet girl and She's the only girl who is always there for Ranma when he really needs her.
I think its dumb to say Akane is just quick to jump to conclusions b/c Akane is not the only one, even Kasumi has done it when she assumed Shampoo was Ranma's girlfriend from China. Plus many times, for the martial artist in Ranma 1/2. Action before thought is second nature to them. I've taken a martial arts class before & they tell you straight up that the purpose for practicing these techniques and katas so much was so they become 2cd nature and you no longer have to think about it, you just act. Which is what many of the impulsive characters do ( Ranma, Ryoga, Akane, Mousse....), they just ACT and don't think about it 1st. ( Shampoo, Kodachi, Cologne and Happosai seem to conceive little plots before hand.)

In the end though, Ranma admits he loves Akane not, NOT, and once again let me stress NOT Shampoo.

Akane loves Ranma the best , but Shampoo doesn't love Ranma She's with him only because of her Amazon law and Ukyo is engaged to Ranma because her father wanted to .. She was just a kid back then so She don't love him , but Akane at the first place she hated him but after so many scenes between the two she starded to love Ranma and gave up on Tofu , Ranma loves Akane cuz at the first place he didn't hate her but he wanted to know her better so he loved Akane XD (he adimit it at the last chapter of the manga) but Kodachi -............- better not to talk about her

I always have shipped them and always hated the idea of shampoo's existence and ukiyo’s sometimes. they were so persistent and nosy and would never leave akane and ranma alone to have a moment together. i knew it from the start that ranma and akane were always meant for each other so if you are choosing the other 3 are you really a Ranma 1/2 fan?
