Honestly I don't get why people take cartoons/anime seriously in terms of body/beauty standards. Calling them bad influences and what not. I feel like lost kids don't even pay attention to that.

I get offended with the intentions behind the designs, but as a kid I never paid attention to how realistic they looked. Besides some style are super angular or some characters have huge heads and what not. They're frighin cartoons for crying out loud.

I hate people who think that just because someone hates Western Animation means that he/she is a weeaboo.I'm not denying the fact that there are some immature and terribly annoying anime fans who hate on western animation for stupid reasons but they are a lot of anime fans who have valid reasons for not liking it.Also honestly these people should accept that just like they don't like animes they are going to be people who don't like western animation.

The transformations in Sailor Moon are no worse than naked Barbie dolls and the reason Sailors Moon, Mercury, Jupiter, etc. look like that in the anime is because they're supposed to be portrayed more as mature women rather than teenage girls and as over the top in beauty and power as possible. The sailor suits were never also supposed to be overtly sexual, it's not even overly sexual, more like a one-piece swimsuit with a skirt overlay. Plus those poses didn't look anything sexual, and they're not as bad as anything Masami Obari drew, he always gives women huge distended boobs and guys being all overly muscular and such...

Plus characters looking way older than they should is common in anime, look at Shiryu (on the left) from Saint Seiya, he's only 14 when he starts out too, yet look at those abs:

I know that I'll likely get A LOT of hate for this opinion, for those of you who aren't TOO LAZY to read like three paragraphs, but here it goes. Having untalented people in Hollywood is basically the fault of the "normal people", for lack of a better term. I see this on youtube when there are fandubs for Disney songs and scenes and there are people praising the average or bad ones. These people basically give performances that you'd see in a middle or high school play. The ones getting attention are range from average to terrible but still get a lot of views, likes, and comments praising them. Meanwhile, I've seen plenty of people who give genuinely give great performances but still don't get much attention, especially compared to the average or bad ones. There are those who are amazing that more attention (THANK GOODNESS) but don't have the attention of someone like Justin Bieber or Rebecca Black that were discovered on Youtube and I think we all know how most people nowadays feel about them.

While this is probably more objective, I also see it in looks too. People praising the looks of someone who is more average looking, looks different but isn't what you'd call conventionally gorgeous, or whatever while the really genuinely gorgeous people are being criticized by these same people. I've seen people who will talk to an ordinary looking person to tell them they're gorgeous but will look at celebrity that is miles ahead of them in the looks department and say they aren't good looking or that attractive. Or even in animation if a character is the "cookie-cutter" conventionally good looking type than they're nothing special but a character that is unique looking they're gorgeous no matter how they look. This part is more in the eye of the beholder, but still, it's like hating on the conventionally and genuinely gorgeous characters/people is a new fad and that the more ordinary/average or even unattractive ones get praise just to help enforce it.

Again, I know I'll get hate for this confession, but I just had to say it. Basically to quote Mr. Incredible's unfinished line in The Incredibles "It's psychotic! They keep up coming up with new ways to celebrate mediocrity but if someone is genuinely exceptional..."! It's like the genuinely exceptional people in the world are getting pushed to the side just to make the mediocre ones feel good about themselves. So when those of you complain about how untalented or mediocre people are in the business, it's the fault of all the people who just want to keep from hurting someone's feelings.

Well, I better prepare for the hate I'm gonna get.

I know only zanhar1 will agree with me on this but, the fact that Lust is killed off too early in the show and isn't as well done as she is in the 2003 series is enough for me not to have any desire to watch Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. It may be a dumb, silly, and immature reason but the way one's favorite character in the franchise is treated in a show comes before anything else (no matter how well-done the rest of the show is). Well, at least with this I'll have zanny and her MANY clones to support me! So beware that I HAVE ZANNY AND HER ARMY OF CLONES AT MY DISPOSAL READY TO ATTACK lol!

P.S. I'm almost done with the 2003 version of Fullmetal Alchemist and think it's AMAZING! Lust is my favorite character and I only have a few episodes and a movie left to go.

If someone doesn't like villains because they're evil (despite that there would be no conflict in the story, therefore, most likely making the story boring) than they are BORING and I cannot speak a word to them! Besides, living a life where you won't like villains (unless you're a little kid for obvious reasons) is a BORING life to live that to me is a fate worse than death!

I'm not sure if this is popular or unpopular anymore, but Black Veil Brides honestly are really angsty all in lyrics. I used to adore them but their lyrics dont really connect too much with me now that I think Im mostly out of the angry/angsty teen age.

That being said, I still like to listen to their music here and there and Andy's voice is still smooth deep butter :v

Exercising feels absolutely wonderful. Getting tired and having your lungs burn feels great. Breaking a sweat and being sore feels amazing. Nothing fixes a bad day and nothing makes a day better than getting physically exhausted and worn out through exercise.

Icons are very important as the icon you hold tends to project something about your personal character and I personally know I judge people by their icon, at least partially and usually unintentionally.

I think people can be too closed-minded and refuse to admit something good about something they don't like. For example, while I by NO MEANS hate or even dislike anime, I can name some things I like about anime. The number one thing, which especially nowadays will forever keep me from ever disliking it as a whole, is that it keeps hand drawn animation alive! In a time where we're living that most animated things are computer animated because people apparently think hand drawn animation is "just for kids" I admire and respect anime for only doing hand drawn animation. If they have don't computer animation I haven't seen or heard of any, but I love that they keep to hand drawn animation and keep it from becoming extinct. Plus, even when it's just a TV show, they put their ALL into making the animation look amazing. Yeah, I'm not a fan of the drawing style, but the animation itself looks amazing in a lot of animes. The colors, the lighting, the effects, and all that jazz look incredible. They do a better job at animation for TV shows than any western animated show I've seen, with the exception of the Avatar shows. I'd say that a lot of the animation in just the TV shows of anime look comparable to the animation in western animated movies.

Anyway, I think people can be too closed-minded and just won't admit that anything good about something they don't like. I try to find at least one thing good in something, even something that I DESPISE! Tentacolino, which is the WORST movie of ALL TIME, had nice looking animation (nothing spectacular). Even if there is a character or celebrity I despise like Blood from Winx Club or Kim Kardashian, if they're good looking I'll admit it. Yes, I think Kim is beautiful, nothing special and can look weird a lot of the time, but she is good looking in my opinion.

Emma Stone is low key annoying

I think that Father from"Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood"is a really overrated villain.People act like he's the best anime villain that was ever created even though he is nothing more than the cliched "A God am I"type of villain that is a trope that has been really overdone especially in shounen animes and in top of that he's also boring as hell.

I honestly don't think that it's impossible for mermaids/mermen to actually exist. That's not to say I believe they're real, but I also don't think it's impossible for them to exist. First of all, it's probably unlikely that they look like how they do in The Little Mermaid. It's more likely that if they do exist they'd look more like how they did in that documentary about mermaids shown on Animal Planet that has been said to be a fictional documentary. It's more likely they'd look like that instead of looking completely human from the waist up and having long hair. Why do I say that it's possible? Well, we have explored only a VERY SMALL percent of the ocean and new creatures are discovered in the sea the further we go. So until the entire ocean is explored, I'm not going to say there is absolutely no possibility of their existence. After all, there was once a time when gorillas and tigers weren't considered to be real and now we know better than that. Plus it might explain why dolphins seem to have an attachment to humans, that is, if they are friends with merpeople like that documentary theorized. Why do dolphins like humans so much? Most sea creatures that don't eat humans would usually swim away in fear, unlike the dolphin that is usually very friendly with humans, even sometimes saving their lives. It's kind of like how I feel about aliens. I don't exactly believe they're real, but I'm not ignorant enough to say their existence is impossible. It's very ignorant to believe that we're the only life out in the universe and that there is no possibility that merpeople could exist since we've explored only a VERY SMALL percentage of both the sea and space.

I dont really know how to read exclamatory sentences that arent capitalized without laughing at least mentallly because for some reason everytime I read it it sounds like someone putting an awkward amount more energy to make their statement louder, angrier, more dramtatic etc

Its just that awkward place between "Saying something normally like this." and "SAYING SOMETHING NORMAL LIKE THIS HOLY CRUD!" or "SOMETHING LIKE THIS."

It just doesnt come out as a solid 'louder' voice or a 'more forceful' one most of the time

I don't care too much about tv.

I'm not a big fan of multiplayer with splitscreens. I have to look my one small screen in order to play the games with my friends locally. This is especially annoying if your TV screen is small. It's like 2-4 different screens in one TV screen. If I want to play with my friends locally, then I would prefer playing multiplayer games that doesn't use splitscreens like fighting games, party games, or some platforming games.

I honestly don't mind that Scarlett Johansson was cast in Ghost in the Shell. First of all, I'm NOT racist and you all already know I'm not the biggest expert on anime but I did some research and here's something I found out. First of all, apparently the character that she plays never had her ethnicity made clear in the anime. The creator of the anime even said that her ethnicity is ambiguous, which from what I understand makes sense because she is robbed of her humanity or something like that. It also seems that most Asians don't have much of a problem with her casting, even saying that Scarlett looks like the character. Even the creator of the anime thinks that Scarlett Johansson was a great casting choice, despite Scarlett not being Asian. Plus, it's not like they flat out denied Asian actors from auditioning like apparently is happening with the Death Note live-action movie adaptation. Now that is flat out racism! From what I've heard about the character that Scarlett is playing, she's very sexy, emotionally distant, has depth, is badass and has been used as a weapon for the gain of others until she broke free... Sound familiar? To me it sounds like another character that Scarlett Johansson has played and is her best-known role, Black Widow from the Avengers movies. So with all of that in mind, I see no reason to really call this out as racism or to ball Scarlett Johansson out for it. I do think representation is important, but not everything is racism.

Both sides of politics are equally as sensitive. Both have their own fair share of easily-offended snowflakes. One side does NOT have a monopoly on contrived outrage - they both do, to pretty equal degrees. I am so sick of phrases like "liberal tears" or "bleeding hearts" that suggest one side is more overly emotional than the other. Throwing tantrums is not the confined or even predominant to "SJWs" - lol go forth, suffer through the comments section of a few news articles (preferably shitty tabloids), cringe, and see it for yourselves.

I honestly don't get all of the hate that Emma Watson gets recently. I remember a few years ago where she also got a lot hate apparently but than managed to find a lot of fans that made them fade away. Now it seems that she's getting a lot more hate today because she's Belle and even for her feminist speech where she said men are being forced into gender roles and calls out the feminazis. I feel like a lot of people hate on her because she's popular and nowadays hating something because it's popular is the "cool thing." I remember when I saw in that phase with Johnny Depp. I absolutely adore Emma and think she's proven that she's an amazing actress more than her share and that's coming from someone who isn't blinded by Harry Potter fan love because I've always hated the Harry Potter franchise.
