When jesús was born, three wise men set out to find him with the gifts of mer, insents, and gold. but they arived a año after he was born.

a gagillion years later a man heard the story -Saint Nick!- and he took a bundle of presents to children.

he did this untill he died, but people did it with him, but they started giving gifts to others.
and soon it became a big holday.

i think we give gifts on Chritmas because we all hold jesús in out harts, and gifts and amor imbrace that.

navidad was a Winter Solstace celebration. It was in no way to do with Christ's birth until Cromwell banned navidad in England. Then, the priests were all, like, 'Oh no, there's nothing wrong with this! Its really the día Christ was born!' They pulled December 25 out of the air and called it Christ's birthday all so they could celebrate a stupid pagan holiday. Christ didn't celebrate his birthday, so why should we? His cousin, John the Baptist, was killed because of a birthday. jesús dicho to remember his death, not his birth. His birth was not the purpose of his being. It was the Ransom Sacrifice, he died for us.

Not to mention that in the dead of winter, there is no sane reason the three shepherds would be outside herding their sheep. We don't know what día jesús was born on, but he was not born in winter.
