What's your opinion on BLM?

I realize no one likes political preguntas and I'm not trying to start shit o anything, I'm just genuinely curious about other teen and young adult opinions. Personally, I think the movement is a toxic train wreck full of racist idiots, but that's just me.

I doubt anyone here needs an explanation but BLM= Black Lives Matter.

To be honest I don't fully agree with the idea but I do agree with what they want. Alot of times cops blatantly shoot blacks and they get off with a slap to the wrist. They perfil blacks and purposedly go into predominately black areas to harass and to get their quota. Alot of cops operate with the ask pregunta and shoot first mentality. The whole "tried por 12 than carried por 6" ideal so alot of them have really poor training and they do this. It's ignorant. BLM started because so many people are done with inherent racist abuse. Look at the guy in Missouri. It was clear he was shot point blank dead but the guy got off. So I disagree with some of their tactics but the cause is appropriate. People have sábalo, shad on minorities alot for stupid reasons. Profiling, etc And alot of cops are plain racists. That being dicho there's a decent amount of good cops out there but some of them are scared o it's hard for them to fix the corrupt police force. There's so many angles I could go with this.

Blind covered it pretty well. It's undoubtedly true that there is a difference in the way that black people are treated por police, and this is a significant problem. Refer also to SlimJim's answer.

And yeah assault is bad and all but we gotta keep in mind that the vast majority of BLM protesters were peaceful. I feel like people love to focus on the few violent protesters and discredit the protest movement as a whole. There were thousands and thousands of people across dozens of cities protesting... why do we pay attention to the few isolated incidences of violence, like it's somehow más important than the voices of thousands exercising their democratic right?

"Full of racist idiots"? How so? If this is an 'All Lives Matter' sentiment, please read link.

Basic gist; I support what they stand for (or most of it) but not how they go about it.

my bestfriend from when i 1st immigrated here is a tall black dude w dreds and some times i worry about him because a police cop might see him as like a "thug" even tho he is like 0% thug and just a big harmless nerd. like who is 2 say it would never happen to him? Like we life in a I good area where police r mostly nice but like all it takes is 1 bad cop

I am glad that there r ppl trying 2 change the police things nd i just hope no1 gets hurt.

Most people I know who like BLM are cool. The issue is stuff like that fester a shit ton of annoying extreme stupid leftists with violence and all and its just not cool at all. So my bone to pick is with the idiot chaos makers that I agree are kind of toxic.

But summary, good group in thought, not in reality tho.
