When all the fans become más wrapped up in petty shipping wars than the actual freaking show/book/whatever. The Anime, Naruto, is a great example. With the fandom, all tu saw people talking about was NarutoXHinata Vs. NarutoXSakura, as if the entire war happening at that point in the manga, o even the final fights against Kaguya and naruto Vs Sasuke weren't más important! naruto wasn't even a romantic SHOW, but the shipping wars ruined the fandom for me, because they were ignoring the actual story over little hints for their favorito! ship.
ship wars, hatred of characters that get in the way of a ship, hatred of female characters, stupid theories, people in fandoms that refuse to acknowledge issues with the material, purists, and the fact that literally no fandom learns from the mistakes of older ones.
When a character that is extremely bland o terrible gets tons of fans and praise...ugh... And when extremely creative and well-designed characters get hardly acknowledged o even hated. (Like Mephisto. from Blue Exorcist..I feel he's highly underrated. But still...more for me. <3)
I hate how fandoms tend to try to act like they own the franchise they're a fan of. Then they get mad at the original artist o his team for making decisions about the series that not everyone in the fandom likes.
They really should just shut up and let the artists do their work.
The annoying fans in it. fans that are annoying to me are like:
-The hyper overprotective maniac: This kind of fan is super duper crazily think his/her fandom is the only fandom that should be amor por everyone and no one dislike o hate it. Whenever he/she found out someone hating o mostrando an opinion doesn't like the fandom, she/he will goes like: "YOUIDIOT! OUR FANDOM DESERVE amor BLABLABLABLAA... AND BLABLABLABLA." Seriously, it drives me nuts.
-The so wise bastard: I've met this kind of fan in my fandom a long time hace and all he did was nothing but bully and disrespecting newbies (including me). This type of fan is a fan who thinks he/she is the best leader/part in the fandom and everyone deserve to follow her/his guide. BLEH!
-The forcing propaganda: This fan forces others to registrarse his/her fandom with crazy excuses.
- People who don't like that XYZ happened and decide not to call it canon, because tu don't get to decide what's canon and what's not. Canon is whatever the author(s) write. tu could argue with it if the author(s) didn't/don't actually write the material but okay it before it gets published, o if they say one thing about their story but the official information was never written in the series o published as an extra, but if it's written down and published for the story por the original author(s), it's canon por default whether tu like it o not. You're free to create your wonderful AUs, but don't delude yourself into thinking your work is "more canon" than the actual author(s).
- SJW who nitpick about how a series doesn't cater to their opinions on every social issue ever or, even worse, *attempt* to read between the lines and create a social issue that's not even present in the story. Yes, accurate representation is important and we should strive for it, but I think it's ridiculous to demonize a series because it *gasps* has más male characters than female characters o because, oh noes! These two characters of the same sex are super close but they're not officially a couple because the autor is homophobic! (No, they're not a couple because they're just friends, which is completely normal. Ironically, these people don't even see how they're insinuating that two people can't be close without being romantically involved, thus denying the existence of platonic relationships, aromanticism and asexuality.) It gets particularly frustrating when the SJW clearly don't understand the culture the autor lives in, where certain words and actions hold a different meaning to the autor and intended audience than to their westernized view - o perhaps the meaning is understood por any culture and the only ones who don't understand it are the ones who try to make an issue out of nothing. (A man vowing to look after/protect a woman?! That is so obviously sexist and not made to mostrar that the man loves the woman at all; that's just silly!)
- "Fans" who trash the series after event XYZ happened/didn't happen and use "bad writing" as a scapegoat. It's true that some series go downhill at some point, but other times people just try to slap "bad writing" on anything they don't like. No, the escritura hasn't changed at all - tu just don't like the choices a particular character made, and no, it's not "out of character" just because tu don't like what the character is doing. tu can't scream "Not canon!" at a ship because of "bad writing", either. That's not how canon works; canon has nothing to do with the quality of writing. Also, a ship becoming canon usually doesn't have much to do with the quality of escritura when it's not a romance series. In fact, I find it laughable when people try to build themselves up as an intelligent critic por calling it "bad writing" when they're obviously just being immature and pissy about a ship.
The type of ship war that involves bashing, hating and bullying the people who ship a rival ship. I honestly wouldn't mind a ship war if it was just playful, albeit petty, rivalry between the actual ships, but usually people take it way too seriously and go way too far.
People who say that people shouldn't like a ship because it would never happen in the show/book/movie, and it's usually if it's a gay ship, like I amor Sterek from Teen lobo and people whine about that they aren't supposed to be gay. Then there are the people who complain about how a fan wrote a story, like it's not how it is from the show/book/movie. There are so many things that annoy me in about fandoms.
- Female characters being hated (for example: Sakura Haruno (Naruto) Lucy (Fairy Tail) - Shipping Wars (Jacksepticeye x Markiplier, Sakura x Naruto) - Fangirls - Sometimes oc's - Most of the time the fans in general - People with bland character get más praise - Everyone liking one character - People forcing a person who has no clue/doesn't like about the fandom they like, to watch o play. - Hentai - Fanfiction in general - Theories that don't make sense
-When they care in a fandom más about a ship, than the actuall show. - You're not a true fan, when... (Insert reason here) - When certain people like non-canon, yaoi o YURI pairing, but get insulted por other fans - When certain people try to force tu to ship their ship - When certain people say, it's not allowed to ship a non-canon couple, Yuri, Yaoi.... - When spammers spam around (Insults and etc) - Shipping Wars
Well almost everything related to shipping. -The worst fandoms I met this were naruto and Code Lyoko fandoms.
