Happy 11-12-13 Everyone!!!!!so what r u guys gonna do to make this día memorable??
In my country we put the mes first, but on our 11.12.13 (November 12th, 2013), a classmate of mine set her watch to 9:10 AM so she could say it was 9:10 on 11.12.13. XD
Well I'm kinda stuck doing science homework, but I got distracted with my e-mail, then I saw fanpop, then I changed my perfil then I wrote a story, then I.... gosh darn!! I keep getting distracted!! Oh well. I guess I'll procrastinate today.
My new cama arrived! My old one had a mattress that was ten years old and the cama frame had to be seventy years old at least, so it was devilishly uncomfortable. This new one is so comfortable!
haha i remember last mes americans kept saying it was 11-12-13 like why would tu even put the mes before the día idk
but all i did was watch caricaturas and play pokemon today oh no

It makes más sense. The most important information goes first, which is the month. Yuo can tell the general weather and the time of año with the month. The fecha and the año is insignificant compared to knowing the month.
but it also makes sense to put the smallest to the biggest? day/month/year... i dont see how the mes is más important than the actual día because thats when specific events happen?
lol I don't see how it's important to put the mes first. Chances are tu know what mes you're freakin in! It's the día that tu generally want to find out first, hence why, many places lista the día first. And smallest to biggest time totally makes más sense too.
In the modern world, the precise minuto is important, but let's just think for most of human history. Days did not matter, nor did the year, but crops and monsoon seasons were very important and still are today. Months determine your season, and whether to harvest o plant crops. año and fecha doesn't matter in the the rural world, which is as of now, most of the world!!!
Indeed, but we are living in a modern society which determines important events por date. We are a society that lives in the now. Obviously both ways makes sense, it just depends which one tu were brought up with and are used to.
i still feel like months are actually the least useful because the weather can tell tu what time of the año you're in, though lately the weather has been unreliable, but even still certain events will always depend on the day. halloween isn't the whole of october, it's on an actual día and for the día to be placed first would be más obvious? (i hope im not sounding rude i usually have conversations like these to learn más haha uou)
agreed dustydeer. For me (I'm not saying the other way is wrong but) I find the día most important. Say, I remember birthdates, I remember I have a test due on a certain date, I have so many days left of my holiday. For me, each día is más important that the mes it's in.
It is December, not November....and it's the 11th.
Wait do tu put the día first then the mes middle where tu live?

She might live in a spanish country. They usually put the día before the mes there even though that's weird. I was wondering the same thing so don't feel like the only one.
