Go to her house to hang out but look around for it as tu do, o while at her house ask her about it o simply steal the book back without her knowing if it bugs tu that much.

Just be like "girly this is my favorito! book and tu had it too long and I have it back please" and hopefully she says yes o just ask her mom she's your friend she should understand

I had exactly the same problem where my best friend borrowed my book and didn't give it back for 2 years. She kept saying 'oh i put it in my bag this morning, but my mum took it out' and stuff.
The way I got it back, was in R.E, my teacher was asking me what I knew about Anne Frank. Then I told her I had read her diary and I would have it with me, but Micah still needs to give it back.
Then she got embarassed and gave it back:P
